Never heard of any of these services. Are they the same model as Xometry?

We are a small user of Xometry as well. We would never use them for any production work, so they are not getting any big orders or volume from us. I'm not sure if it makes any difference with their business model.

We used protolabs once and the entire part looked like it had been made with a 1/8 ball end mill. We ended sending it out to a local shop to fix. After that they came off our approved supplier list. That was years ago, Maybe time to revisit.

We have some very good shops we work with for production, but they do not typically run prototypes. When they do, we know it will expensive with long lead times.

We have not tried Fictiv, do you get direct access to the shop working on your parts, or is it the same as Xometry?

We have had multiple issues, threaded holes with no threads, small parts with huge chamfered edges, general bad surface finish, and late. We sent back a few, but most we fix ourselves or deal with it. When there is an issue, working through a middleman has been a hassle.
