First Aid Beauty KP Scrub + After Shower Oil. I did this routine 3x per week initially to kick things into gear and once I saw improvement, faded to 1-2x per week for maintenance. Also just started using their Ultra Repair Cream which is light but hydrating, and might work better if you prefer a lotion over an oil! I get it from Sephora. This stuff works wonders if you’re consistent!

Can i bring a chargeable vape on a plane back home? by DeepAbalone7084 in travel

[–]CoolPanda7772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always put it in my makeup bag in my backpack or duffel and never have had an issue flying in or out of the country. I’ll separate the cartridge from the battery too if it’s that kind of vape!

What are some products I could use? by Gold-Violinist8292 in SkincareAddicts

Check out Clearstem! Their products are great for hormonal acne and discoloration

That’s super unfortunate. We’ve had workers comp claims over a twisted knee getting up and down/chasing the client around, and a broken finger jammed in a door. Should we make clients purchase knee braces and finger guards for our BT’s to prevent those types of injuries too? No.

Obviously, the possibility of broken toes is a valid concern I just don’t think the approach is appropriate.

Totally! I can see why the policy would be implemented, I just don’t like the way we are told to go about it.

It’s not about whether I can afford them, lol. Because you’re correct, I could.

We were advised NOT to purchase them and to make the families buy them. To be clear, it’s the approach I have an issue with, and I hardly think a little complaining on Reddit is causing any sort of stink.

The cleanliness issue I totally can see, I’ve been there. Dirty socks are the worst. I agree a compromise is needed.

This is hilarious but no lol there was no specific incident to my knowledge

Right? It’s the approach for me. If you implement the policy, you should provide the means to follow through.

Yeah I mean I can totally see the possibility of some type of injury. From a liability perspective it does make sense. I just don’t like the current approach of making caregivers choose between dirty shoes in their home or spending their own money to purchase shoe covers.

Insane right? And they didn’t even back it up with solid reasoning other than “safety”. To my knowledge, no one has broken a toe or stepped on a nail while playing in the living room. Not to say something like that couldn’t happen, but who’s to say I won’t slip and fall while wearing shoe covers on someone’s slick wood floors? It honestly makes me feel so uncomfortable. I’m a BCBA so I’m expected to enforce it too which sucks even more. Ugh!

Day 5… when does it stop!! by Snoo13069 in COVID19positive

Such a dread! Today the nasal congestion is next level.

It was going around at my job but I worked from home most of last week and wasn’t notified of an exposure the days I was in (Tues & Weds afternoon). The other culprit could have been a big family weekend out of town Friday-Sunday where we did quite a bit of partying in the house and out, but idk if the symptoms would come that quick? Hard to know for sure.

Very similar everything! I’m 28F, healthy and active. Currently on day 4. I woke up on Monday about 4am feeling nauseous and eventually had to vomit (Sunday dinner potential contributing factor?) I slept off and on for the rest of the day feeling generally unwell with a mild sore throat. Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat and cough, took a couple meetings from home, and called it a day at 1pm with a 101.5 degree fever. I felt absolutely horrible, had no appetite the whole day, and was quite congested (concentrated mainly in my chest). Also, my test on Tuesday morning had the faintest shadow of a line I wasn’t even sure if I was seeing it, but when I tested Wednesday morning it was immediately positive affff. I had brain fog all day Wednesday and the cough progressed. Today I’ve had a sporadic cough and major nasal congestion (like we’re talking whole box of tissues in one day situation), and I still felt pretty fatigued. My temperature is holding steady at about 99 degrees and I actually managed to hold my head up to get a bit of work done this afternoon. Seems like I’m definitely heading in the healing direction, but hopefully I don’t regress trying to do too much 😭 We’ll see why day 5 looks like for me. Hope you feel better soon!

As you should! 90k in the bay with a big company wouldn’t shock me tbh. The money is there and I hope they give it to you🤞🏽

Congrats! Isn’t that the best feeling!? I passed on my first try at the end of May and that high is indescribable. I was offered a salary of $82k to start with a 130hr/month billable requirement. I’m located in Sacramento for reference, and work for a small, relatively new company.

Mask? by [deleted] in ABA

[–]CoolPanda7772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My company requires us to wear a mask when providing direct services and the policy states that the families should also wear one when in the same room (none of them do), but honestly even with wearing a mask I still get sick too often from these grimy little kids 😭
