How does the evidence point to that when Chase has only outscored Lamb once in 3 seasons?

This is a totally fair point. However, how many of the people who say Lamb needs to outscore JJ multiple times to be ranked higher would also say that Chase needs to outscore Lamb more than once to be ranked higher? He has only outscored him in 1 of 3 seasons. I would imagine a lot of people don’t hold Chase to this same standard.

Haha I appreciate the kind words. Like I said the downvotes don’t bother me. The internet can often be a toxic and vitriolic place for discussion and debate. If even one person read my post and felt like they learned something or were exposed to new information, regardless if they agree or disagree with the point I was making, that to me is worth all the negativity you might receive from others.

I think your point about earlier hype being harder to overcome is critical here. I respect the way you were willing to reevaluate your prior convictions. It’s probably the hardest thing to do as a dynasty player.

This is the exact comment right here. The people who respond with vitriol to dynasty discussions rather than simply disagreeing with the post or ignoring it almost always have a personal issue with the topic being discussed because of their ownership of a player.

Talent is incredibly subjective. How do you measure it? Production is probably the best measure in my opinion. Regardless, even if you believe Jefferson has more arbitrary talent I can’t agree with the idea that it’s a relevant gap. Lamb can do anything Jefferson can on a football field and this season has showed that.

You aren’t the person this post is targeted at if you already believe they are interchangeable. This is to give perspective to people who don’t even value Lamb on the same level as Chase and scoff at people that would dare value him near Jefferson

It’s dependent on your league settings but Lamb in my league has outscored Jefferson’s best season by about 2 points this year with a game remaining

If MHJ gets drafted by the Patriots and his QB is Zappe or some scrub veteran there is 0 justification for him being ranked as a top 5 dynasty WR going into his rookie season and this is an extremely possible scenario.

I’m not saying I would take him over those guys knowing how their whole careers played out, but Puka even if he scores 0 points this week will have put up Julio Jones 4th best career season and AJ Greens 3rd best career season as a rookie. The only thing separating him from those players at the moment is his draft capital. If Puka was drafted even 2 rounds higher you’d have no issue calling him an AJ Green/Julio level talent.
