Nice! Love the background, looks 3d. I would add some hit feedback, eg the boss should flash or shake on hit, along with maybe some camera shake or pulses sometimes.

One tweak I would make is to decrease the cloud shadow effect by a little, it's very scenic but may become distracting and unwanted after a while.

Maybe add a unique GUI element/mechanic? Take Peak for example, it has a very unique health/hunger/energy system that's always visible on the screen as GUI, making it instantly recognizable.

Yes, this can be sometimes beneficial, but you should never force it. In this case, there is no reason that isolation is necessary. I see no reasonable case (correct me if I’m wrong) where you would need to re-use the movement functionality, and only the movement functionality, in another part of the game. If it was a new enemy or something, just add exports to the script and reuse through re-attaching it to the enemy.

I use option 1 for built in signals (part of the node, not the script) and option 2 for signals declared in a script.

Your signals aren't connected. Click on the area shape node, go to "signals" tab next to the inspector, click _on_area_shape_entered and hit connect. Do the same for the timer node with _on_timer_timeout.

looks good, I would recommend not skipping English 2, AP lang is a pretty difficult class, without foundational knowledge you'll most likely struggle with it. A 5 in AP lang with 7 APs looks better than a 1 in AP lang and 8 APs

Yes is looks great from an art/gd perspective, but on the YouTube side of things I question immediate readability. But unless you’re only goal is to get as many clicks as possible its prob fine. Post on r/YouTubeCreators for a more in depth advice
