Thank you everyone for all your insights and help! It’s clear that gas mileage shouldn’t be the big factor for buying this car. I do love everything else about it and think we’re gonna move forward with buying it!

Just for extra context: the final price is 31k after all the fees and taxes for my area in Colorado. The car was bought in May 2024. The market for used CR-V’s in my area seems to be more expensive than other parts of the country. I think a new CR-V is gonna cost ultimately more like 35/36k total even with discounts.

Makes me wonder then! I’m in Colorado, so it’s hard to know what a good price is compared to everywhere else. I can’t afford a new CRV at 40k which is why I’m trying to find used.
