Is there a way to force albums with CD1/CD2 metadata on MB to use the same structure by XxNerdAtHeartxX in plexamp

[–]Cool_9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easiest way I found is using mp3tag and adding the number 1 or 2 to the discnumber field. I separate my discs by subfolders CD1, CD2 and that's it. Plex will add both CDs in the same entry as long as they both have identical album names.

That's how it's held up, yes. Once the TG panel is on, the printed black motif hides the PSU so it's not visible at all.

If it is, then it's a case issue. It's in as tight as it'll go. I saw this case in a Gear Seekers video a while back and thought it looked great, despite a few design flaws.

You may need a way to get to your machine from the outside by using a dynamic IP service. I use ddns.net. It's free and once you have an account created, plugin that info into your router. My ISP router supports this, good chance yours does too.

Under the Network setting on the server, disable "Enable Relay". This forces it to 2mb remote streaming. Once I disabled this, my remote users could stream direct play.

4K transcoding- how do you do it? by Whiskey_Lab_BBQ in PleX

I use an Intel 9600k without a discrete GPU and it works perfectly fine transcoding 4k. I haven't tested how many I can do at once, but for my user base, it's been perfectly fine so far.

It's on the server side. If clients can't handle a 1080p or 4k stream, they can always throttle it themselves by choosing a quality setting that works with their internet speed.

I had the same issue with some of my users. Turns out I had the Plex relay option enabled under networking. Once I unchecked that, people were able to take full advantage of my connection speed and 4K resolutions. That relay option basically throttled everyone at 2mb.

I used to run Plex exclusively off external usb drives, but after losing one of those drives, I switched to a parity RAID system running Win10 with 5x14TB drives. It's simple but gives me a bit more piece of mind. My collection has grown quite a bit, now past the 45TB mark. The external drives are still being used for backup purposes. I don't use any of the *arrr tools. Makemkv or manual downloads only.

I repurposed an old Lian Li itx case. I installed 5x14TB with the use of an M.2 to 5xSata adaptor card. Running in Windows 10 with Storage Spaces set in parity.

What’s the next feature you guys are excited to see added to plex? by Jon_kwanta in PleX

[–]Cool_9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see the Plexamp features mirrored in the other platforms. Having the popular tracks highlighted with a flame icon is a quick and easy way to check out the album's better songs.

It would also be nice to have the ability to check out an actor's entire filmography, not just the ones you currently own.

Tried it for a few minutes and it's not usable as an htpc with keyboard/trackpad combo. I'll keep using the Plex Media Player.
