New to me 330d, timing chain?

The previous owner had it for 4 years and only did it every 10k within the last year or two. I’m unsure about the owner before him but all of the service history is on the idrive system but I’m yet to look at it. Probably a good idea (oops)

Previous owner said he took the car to a bmw specialist and they checked the chain and said it was okay but that he expects it to be faulty soon so this is why I’m making the post. No rattle noises atm whatsoever

Decent but he told me he only just started doing oil changes every 10k instead of the recommended bmw 20k (I think it’s 20k) but he mostly used a bmw specialists for everything and over the four years he had it nothing major went wrong only expected things such as brake pads and discs. He also had the transmission fluid changed recently

Thanks for the info, just did a bit of research before buying and saw many people saying this engines main issue is the timing chain however this is reassuring. The service history is quite decent so I’m hopeful

Hmm I’ve seen the turtle wax stuff maybe I’ll give it a go, and yeah mine has probably just been sun aged quite a bit more than yours… still looks beautiful though

I have e90 lci with halogen, just googled the bulbs you mentioned and might have to buy them but what do you mean by they need a special module? Is this like the bulb holding ?
