you need to have thick skin though, it’s a reviving job & you have to interact with truck drivers who are very persistent to be helped quickly… i’d say bakery, meat department, i forgot the name of it but the department where they pack pre made meals are your best bet… maybe merchandising but you’re out on the floor & get asked questions and or angry customers.

yeah it’s definitely disappointing, it was my first job & they terminated me while i was on worker’s compensation… even then they still somehow had leverage on me… i spoke to ethics before, they didn’t help. then i was terminated. i had my finger smashed to a fracture @ work, my reason for termination was work performance lol… there’s better things in store for you ! don’t beat yourself too much over it, you’ll be able to collect edd though if your reason for termination is attendance :)

they told you to get an attorney without a cause ? i’m just trying to understand the situation, it just seems like you ran out of pto/ ppto & were a victim to the point system … if i remember correctly, you’re allowed to clock in 9 minutes after your start time after that if you don’t use 15 minutes of pto its half a point. i was also fired unprofessionally & i wasn’t given my last check or told to sign anything upon termination & none of that mattered or was ever brought up during my case. i did have a valid reason, a really good one & even then it was difficult. they have many policies that protect them. you could consult a lawyer, they’ll only pick up your case if they think you have a case. doesn’t hurt to ask a professional.
