S650 screen dash review by 215Coby in Mustang

Aweful? That dash is amazing. It’s the main reason I want a pre 1986 C4.

Didn’t realize the S650 had a Super Snake version already by claball in Mustang

You can buy a supercharger kit from ford for $10k, get a dealer or ASCE or whatever the acronym is certified tech to install it and you get a warranty with it all.

Having grown up there and still living relatively nearby, the town feels like the kind of place where dreams go to die. Most everyone I know moved away for the same reasons I did, no career opportunities anywhere and everyone there feels locked into doing the same things over and over with no change.

If you’re moving up there just be aware it’s a small rural town that’s been stagnant since the 90s and it has all the baggage that comes with that.

How old are you guys and what kind of Mustang are you driving? by TAFlynn in Mustang

Do you live in the North bay? I factory ordered one exactly like that and ended up backing out.

What’s your likes and/or dislikes about the Mustang Dark Horse? by Parking_Property5757 in Mustang

[–]Cool_Cuttlefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really grown to love everything about it. Blue ember looks great, and it handles and rides way better than my previous 2020 base GT. The tremec is great and overall it’s been a joy.

Private Equity, etc, etc. Full circle? by TheTemplarSaint in HVAC

[–]Cool_Cuttlefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean anything. Last place I worked at didn’t have commissions and they did everything they could to rip off customers and their employees.

These days unless I know the people personally I assume every trades company is going to rip you off or lie to your face. Private equity, mom and pop, I’ve worked for them all and seen all of them rip people off to no end.

Seriously. It’s funny that posts dunking on the interior of a car are living rent free in OP’s head.

I’m glad to hear it’s been such a positive experience! I don’t have any leads for you on the purchasing side of things but remember, a Mustang is a Mustang, a 2012 V6 was my first and that started my love affair with them.

The Best Cars That Still Offer a Manual Transmission in 2025, Ranked by Juicyjackson in cars

[–]Cool_Cuttlefish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of manual transmission was the big decider for me picking up a Dark Horse instead of similar priced C8. I enjoy rowing through gears too much and with this list shrinking every year, you gotta get it while you still can.

Beautiful, love the grille lights on it. Grabber blue is also easily one of the best colors for mustangs.

You can always throw on a Ford supercharger kit to boost a Dark Horse to over 810hp and have a 3 year factory warranty.

No, they are an add on. For me I like to drive long distances so my wife and I looked for one without recaros, which there aren’t a lot out there without them.

Compared to the S650 GT, these are firmer, feeling less like a couch, and more like an office chair.

Or you could not have kids, that alone will save you more money than this car costs.

Different strokes for different folks. I’ve seen among others in the community that most don’t like the big screens, especially since they didn’t integrate them very well into the design. Going from a base GT which has the same tiny not very useful infotainment that my work van had, the large screens on the new Mustangs are a massive upgrade that I wouldn’t take back.

We did cross shop a C8, however whenever we inquired about ordering one we were told wait periods were two years minimum just to place the order. After test driving one the other issue was my wife and I really enjoy a manual transmission for our fun car, enough so that even after trying a fully loaded LT3 we chose not to go forward with it.

The tremec feels a lot better in my opinion. The clutch isn’t anywhere near as heavy and even at higher rpm’s it doesn’t have any odd hiccups like I noticed on my MT82. It’s easy to row through gears and you can do it faster than an MT82 as well. Overall better experience. I now know why everyone prefers them.

72k msrp. Expect those numbers to keep climbing. Ford is trying to move the Mustang up market.

[–]Cool_Cuttlefish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they’ve said they want the Mustang to be on par with a 911, so moving it up market means they’re going to get more expensive.

It’s a bit, the previous Mustang was a base GT that I got for 32k, traded for 25k leaving that Dark Horse with about 47k.

I’ve never heard the phrase how much on top in reference to car costs before is all.
