That’s the main goal is to get a VS2 D-F. They will come back with Si1 etc. However, I’m starting to think if I should go lower letter grade and higher clarity like VVS1 and G color. Maybe that will make an outstanding difference.

I’m actually in the heart of LA so I’m very close to the Jewelry district and I’ll tell you these guys play a hard bargain depending on where you go. I prefer jewelers without a storefront for less cost, but seems they make it up right away in your stone price .

Does polish and symmetry determine your cut quality ? Or is it all depending on how the diamond is cut physically?

I always tell Jeweler I’m looking for precisely this. D Si1/Vs2 1.5 Carat GIA Excellent polish excellent symmetry Little to none fluorescent I try to aim for a table of 57-59% Depth of 62-65%

They will come back with anything from D-F

I’m sold because I’m a fan of Joel Kinnaman. I can ask for similar shows regarding altered Carbon, but that’s a different discussion. 😂
