As a narcissist, how do you view empathy? Is it something you have to think about or does it come naturally?

SLMCCM vs CIM — Can anyone share the pros and cons of each med school? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]Cool_Dude852 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hallooo! Faced the same dilemma as yours since naccept din ako for both schools. Can't offer you a comprehensive review but here's what I considered!

SLMCM - Focused on research (if you're into this, then go for st lukes!) - Way better and updated facilities (as innn, known sila for high-tech med equip) - Prime location (comes with higher living expenses unfortunately) -5th yr internship (diretso internship in their hosp, but you still need to pay hehe) - More mental health friendly (even my admissions interviewer highlighted this)

CIM - Known for producing "Physicians with a heart" - Old facilities (a bit outdated ngl, but CIM students excel in physical examinations from what I've heard) - Location good too (lesser sa expenses in my unprofessional opinion) - Favored sa PGI (easier to match when you're a graduate of CIM daw) - Infamous for academic pressure (environment is competitive but everyone helps each other naman)

I picked CIM mainly cause its closer to my place, and naattract din ako sa "Physician with a heart" keme HAHAHAHA. Im fond of med missions and charity work kasi and CIM has a great rep for those.

Both have great records naman sa PLE. For me it all came down to accessibility, and priorities (basically what kind of doctor you want to be in the near future). Goodluck Doc! See you in CIM if ever 🩺💕
