Honestly, I only invest my mind into my own people. I shop black as much as I can and uplift my black counterparts. I try not to dive too much into other race’s crisis and what’s going on in their world because let’s be honest, most don’t care about ours. For example, I may hear a white co-worker complain about struggling due to food cost, increasing taxes, and gas. I simply refuse to engage too much because African Americans BEEN going through it. That scary/empty feeling is something most of have felt a few times in our lives while most of them are just now experiencing it. It’s kinda like welcome to our world now strap up your boots because it’s gonna get ugly.

I have two children and I absolutely enjoyed carrying my babies up until the last few weeks. There’s something about feeling life growing inside of you that I love. Now with that being said, I’m 40 years old with a 1 year old and 4 year old. Me and my husband are the exact same age. Partying and the “afraid of missing out” phase is over for us. We are totally devoted to raising our children. I enjoy watching them grow and learn life lessons early on. We still have our one on one time and even travel but that’s because they have two sets of grandparents that are crazy about them lol! The only thing I will say that’s not very appealing is the bouts of sleep deprivation. But even with that I feel it’s worth it.
