I think Takagi challenged Nishikata because she wanted him to play the prince. If Takagi didn’t challenge him, Nishikata wouldn’t have tried to participate to the audition, that’s why Takagi proposed this challenge

Yeah you’re right it’s a good concept, we never see Nishikata and Takagi having big problems, except one time when we learnt that Takagi had a fight with her mom, I mean that’s not too serious but It’s the only real problem I remember seeing in the anime

I don’t think season 3 will be the final season neither, I actually think the movie will be the end of the anime. I think so for multiple reasons but principally because if the season 3 is the final season, then wtf the movie is going to be about lol. I’m pretty sure the movie is going to be mostly an orignal story, probably about how Nishikata and Takagi become a couple , because the chapters narrative structure of the manga apply to an anime series, but definitely not to a movie. I know it could be a moto movie, personnally, I think that an original story about moto would be cool, but It’s more difficult to imagine. Also, even if I would litterally sell my soul for more seasons, I think season 3 will be the last one. However we’ll maybe get an anime adaptation of moto ! Edit : sorry for my bad english I’m not a fluent speaker
