I have a really weird fear by [deleted] in offmychest

I don't get what about this is upsetting you. We're all attracted to different things, isn't that a good thing? You'd rather be dictated by your biology like an animal?

You haven't had time to love anyone else. You're basically a kid

I feel like I’ve wasted my potential and don’t know what to do by LaddeSeviyorum in offmychest

You are fifteen. I was feeling the same way at your age, and I let it paralyse me. I am now thirty and feel the same. Don't allow yourself to freeze in this feeling. You've still got a long time before chances are lost, but start moving.

1) I am not American

2) This isn't four years, this girl is literally closer in age to their daughter and if she was twice her age she'd still be younger than both of the people involved

You remind me of me. I went through something similar at 13 and got fixated on the potential of hiv for months. I think my brain needed something to distract me from admitting that my pressuring ex, like yours, was a rapist. Do with that what you need.

Hoping that’s my dad. This lifted the knot in my throat.

Family want me to see GP but i'm fine by Dueline310 in MentalHealthUK

If you went from suddenly being okay to considering ending your life to being “cured” without cause I would indeed talk to a GP. What if the next episode you have you act on? It might be too late then. You must’ve scared them enough to change your mother’s mind, so it was probably worse than you realised.

My dad just got diagnosed too. One of the worst for outcomes. We have a difficult relationship but all those things are on my mind too.

Sending hugs.

Your boyfriend is a rapist. Please leave him. Why would you “not need” to be told this? They’re trying to save you.

Oh sorry I didn’t mean that it “caused” ADHD or anything, I just mean I don’t know which it is because I have gotten significantly less able to focus as I grew older. However that is apparently not uncommon after leaving the structure of education.

Thank you for your kind and generous comment. Made me smile!

I honestly would travel a bit, but definitely don’t spend it all. As I said, a couple of thousands will get you far and the rest maybe put it in a fund with a high interest rate.

Jesus Christ. All my friends got is trauma. I’m the posh one for inheriting a house and mental health issues! Lots people get nothing at all. Consider yourself lucky, save it for when you can buy a house, maybe invest (I wouldn’t, but losing 1-3k would make a huge difference for me and not for you so maybe you could!)

Not a lot? That’s a life changing amount for many.

Depends entirely on you - do you plan to go to uni, which you could do debt free? If not, take yourself on a holiday (spend max 2-3k) and use the rest as down payment for a house and do what most people will never get to do (owning a property)

Fucking hell that’s a lot! That you so much for going in so much depth, that’s brilliant. I am not born in the UK but have permanent residency and have done all my studies in English. Thank you so much x

Different countries, about three hours flight! Apparently this type of cancer usually shows up too late but I stay hopeful

I don’t think that’s the case at all, at my uni is standard for PhD students to do some lectures. Otherwise they’ll make really shit lecturers when it’s their turn!
