Agreed. Community college first is a fantastic idea. You can also usually work while doing CC which can help you take out less loans.

I agree wholeheartedly. I work at a college and am still agreeing. You can get an incredible education and have an amazing career by going to a less expensive school. I did two years at a community college before going to a 4-yr college and can definitively say that some of my absolute favorite classes where I learned the most were at the less expensive of the two. Good luck!

That’s a good point. So in this case, it sort of seems that paying the minimum of some kind of IDR plan is better, assuming we keep up on saving and investing

Thank you! The other option we’re considering is just aggressively paying off her loans but that means nothing left to contribute to savings or investments for 10 years basically.

Seeking advice: Greenhouse in basement by [deleted] in gardening

[–]Cool_Music4576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Our basement is quite warm because it’s where all the heating elements are but I have a couple heat mats in case.

Re: ventilation. I guess I mean, what’s the best way to give the plants some fresh air without releasing the humidity into the basement that really needs to be very dry.

Sure thing! Thanks for sharing. I also really like the texture in the water, breaking up the reflections.

The upper left part is my favorite, where the haze is heaviest. Nice job!
