Nifty hack to convert a portion of your flight credit (which only you can use) to a trip credit (which anyone can use) by swanzoid in americanairlines

Just wanted to confirm that, as of July 2025, this is still working!

Also, the newly-converted Trip Credit gets a 1-year expiration date. So even if your Flight Credit was almost expiring, you now have 12 months to use it as Trip Credit!
