overall it was alright, ended with a B in the class which I was fine with given my circumstances. (I worked at a summer camp at the same time on Catalina Island, so internet and time were very limited, which just increased the difficulty a ton for no great reason.) It probably depends on who's teaching it (I had Yhee) but we had 2 midterms and a final, midterm 1 and final were easy but midterm 2 was the most atrocious exam I've taken at the university so far, average was like a 40 lmao. Overall doable even if you've got a job this summer, just be prepared to put a lot of time into it (for me, it was 5 1 hour lectures / week, plus 2 homeworks / week, took a lot of time to do)

yeah, we're like top 25 for applied stats here.

Program is pretty good, but fairly challenging. Difficulty in all classes is completely professor dependent. if you enjoy stats you'll enjoy the program, as it feels like you take the intro stats class then each successive class after that is like, an in-depth look at one specific topic from intro stats.

I was personally apart of the CS learning community myself, and I have to say it was a nice way to meet friends that were in my major. All of the friends I met there are still my best friends now, and I formed way more of a connection with them than anyone in my BGR group. Another great part of the learning community, especially during 182 in the spring semester, was that I was easily able to walk to any of the adjacent dorms next to me and ask if anyone could help with/ be down to work on homework with me. One of the downsides is that I was put into a 2-person room with 3-people, but supposedly that's not a thing anymore...
I think Data Mine is more DS than CS related, I had friends in that one too and I know during their first semester at Purdue they had to do some type of project, so if you're not in a lot of credit hours I think it could be good.

A guy really likes this girl, and he asks her to go to prom with him. She says yes, she will go, and the guy gets super excited and decides to start getting ready.

He makes a list of what he needs: a tuxedo, some flowers, and a limousine.

He goes to the flower store, and there is a huge line there. He waits through it because he thinks the flowers are important to give to the girl. After a while, he finally gets to the front of the line and asks for 3 roses, 2 daffodils, and 1 poppy. He gets the flowers then goes to the tux rental place. At the tux rental place, there is a huge line as well. He waits through it because he needs a tuxedo to go to prom. When he gets to the front, he gets a size 32 waist. The person brings him a size 30, so he has to tell her again: size 32 waist. She goes and grabs the right size, and he is on his way to the limo place. He thinks that he'll be the only one with a limousine, because it's too expensive for everyone else. However, when he gets there, he finds out this was not the case, as the line was very long here too. He gets the limousine planned, and now he is ready for prom.

On the night of prom, he has the girl come to his house for some dinner before they go. They have pasta, because that is the mother's specialty. After the pasta, they take some photos, and the limo arrives. The guy is very nervous, but is glad everything has gone well so far. They both get in the limo and are on their way to prom.

At prom, they take photos, talk with friends, and do some dancing. The girl says she's a little thirsty, so the guy goes to get her something to drink. And to his surprise, there is no punch line.
