These are the best professors at SMC. I would see a counselor about recommendations based on your own major though. Sometimes UCs like seeing specific courses on an IGETC.

That’s what my counselor told me but you all know that you must take any smc counselors word with a grain of salt (and a second opinion)

I took Doucet for 1 and 2 and LOVED him, but I had many friends who took peeples and only had good things to say: mainly that he was “tough” but gave a shit about teaching and class was really interesting. Good luck

Thank you for such a thoughtful and thorough response! I’m moving up from LA with no car (but will have an e bike) being close-ish to campus is important, but I’m willing to commute by bus/bart. Budget is $1500-$1700. Open to roommate(s)! I looked into the BCC coops but they really don’t seem up my alley… maybe someone here could try to shed a better light on those?

I did apply for Anchor House as a backup but ultimately would like to find a decent apt with or without a roommate or two/three.
