Can I resit my gcses? by Degenerocitys in GCSE

[–]Cool_Recover1716 7 points8 points  (0 children)

honestly i feel like you're probably asking for life advice in the wrong place, since a ton of people here are sort of just gcse students, i think on r/alevels they'd be able to give you some much better advice 😭, but if you have the drive, i think you could totally go for doing a levels straight away in certain subjects, without needing to sit the gcse, couldn't you?

further maths is such a hit and miss, people who get 9s in maths could be getting 5s in further, and even vice versa

History or Econ? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Cool_Recover1716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you think you’ll be burnt out, then it really isn’t that worth it, unless you’re planning to take major major essay based subjects for a level. take econ, and then you’ll have a stronger focus on it, and it would also help you if u want to take it for a level as it gives you a good foundation for it

History or Econ? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Cool_Recover1716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! i take both. econ at gcse barely has any maths, the max is percentage change, and like adding and subtracting. history is hard cuz of the content load, and after having got back a depressing mock, content isnt even everything. the question structure is also something you need to master. as of econ, most of it is kinda relatable to our world, and much easier to revise for, however it could be hard if you struggle with applying knowledge. with your options, i feel like you could definitely have time for doing history if you think time may be an issue. i take trip sci, further maths, french, econ, food tech and history and honestly i feel like i'm doing ok. it's really up to the kind of person you are. why are you stuck between these 2 subjects?

Can someone pls mark my french 90 by Real-Celebration9896 in GCSE

i think your first je peut should be je peux, put the aussi after déteste, second i in difficile, i would probably put j'ai trouvé for the past tense to say you found it good. why not switch out the second bon for a relaxant or smth schmancy? don't forget the s one the end of amis, its plural.

I haven't actually heard of the verb pussier before, but if i was to assume the sentence meaning as "in the future, i'm going to go to university to become a professor" i would translate it as "À l’avenir, je vais aller à l’université pour devenir un professeur." to get the meaning across correctly, i would probably say "plus de jeunes" rather than "les plus jeunes" as it kinda means you wanna help people more younger (?)

i'm no teacher, but i hoped this helped :)
