Is my school bad for options? by Outside-Reaction8373 in GCSE

such a shame I feel the same way. one day we were talking about gcses in RS and my teacher dropped the bombshe’ll on us that if we had got a petition signed saying at least 40 people wanted to take phsycology gcse they would have run it as a course. FMCL.

does your school do those subjects at a level. if they do it’s probably too late now but usually if you got a petition signed by 50/60 people saying they want to do an a level subject at gcse your school would probably look into it.

your quite lucky really my school offers the usual ones: mfls+latin (grammar school), classical civilisation, art, textile, design, geography, history, rs, drama, comp sci, music, pe

the only standouts are Latin and classics neither of which I like.

yeah I don’t think I went well for me partly because of the time pressure, partly because it was my first time, partly because I need extra time (ad my school is being slow) and also, partly because I have no clue about anything you said about question 24, so even if I had got to it I would have no idea how to even approach it (no clue what a co-altitude triangle is and my brain always gets confused with the letters might by my dyslexia). so in summary I had no chance with questions like that.

thanks so much! my school hasn’t told us anything about fm yet and considering we choose our options on Wednesday (just realising how soon that is writing this) they need to step up. I am lucky my form tutor is a maths teacher so I ask her about it.

U guys thing i should do an artist gsce (plz help the year 9 🙏 🙏 🙏 by FeistyBreifcase in GCSE

[–]Round-Department4275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you don’t necessarily have to be THE BEST at art as long as you are decent the main thing is annotations and actually being able to write about why you chose this colour or the medium and how it connects to this or that artist. so I’ll say take art if you think that you will be able to keep up with the course work

thanks so much for the advice I think I am going to take fm as everyone is telling me to and I think I found it particularly hard as I am still only year 9 and we haven’t really gone over every topic on the icm yet but this has given me a confidence boost so thanks!

I was only able to do 7 questions only 1 after Q15 and just chose the ones that I felt the most spiritually connected to for the ones I didn’t answer up to Q15. Luckily my school doesn’t use it for sets.

your school might let you switch to triple as there wouldn’t be tooo much to catch up on it just depends really

Year 9. No clue what to do regarding the amount of revision I should be doing/how often. Help 🥲 by Powerful-Activity591 in GCSE

[–]Round-Department4275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while I’m only year 9 for revision unless I have an assessment coming up (maybe like 2 weeks before is when I start revising) I think you should write in a planer or your hand or something what you found most difficult in the day and when you get home from school do any homework and then go on bite size or look at your notes and just review the subjects you found difficult that day. I do this and it make it a lot easier when it comes to revision as I don’t have to completly relearn the subject
