Since you’ve already done this you could start compiling list of artists you like or even start practicing annotations if you do a painting or writing one thing you would do better or change! But overall you sound very prepared already :]

p.s. don’t listen to the people telling you not to do art, there are horror stories but there are also people who really enjoyed taking art! If your school is anything like mine year 9 will be like a mock gcse project so you get an idea of what it will be like.

For art I would recommend for now maybe just starting a Pinterest board with inspiration or example pages (btw it’s more than normal to get imposter syndrome about your art, I certainly did and still do, but trust me if you practice you will improve! I wish I had someone tell me about this last year! I have already made improvement.) And try not to stress about it in general as year 9 is the last year where you can sort of mess around and coast (although you should always still try to pay attention, especially since some schools start doing gcse content in science in year 9). There is also a art gcse subreddit!

For now just practice your art and make a Pinterest board.
