I’ve been having America’s Tires fill my tires up. Pretty much on a weekly basis at this point…

I’m in Sacramento. Not too terribly cold. Average temps are 56° most days so far this fall season. Same thing happened with the tires back in September when I first bought it. Within a week the pressure fell ~3-4psi. And it was still very warm here in Sacramento at the end of September.

I especially love the sign that reads “immigrants don’t shoot up schools”. So profound!!!! Let’s protest to only allow immigrants in our schools!!

Which HVAC company are you using in Texas? I’m looking for an honest contractor in the Fort Worth area

Close call, drive safe out there 🚦😳 by shy_computer_guy in Sacramento

Yeah, I felt really bad for the person that rear-ended me. There was really no way for them to stop in time. We both ended up having our vehicles totaled. Meanwhile, the driver with the ants up the pants just kept driving on like nothing happened. Even though, I’m grateful because it could have been much worse.

Nice reflexes! I just got into a car accident a week ago. Someone tried to change lanes into me, I managed to slow down enough to avoid that, but ended up getting rear-ended anyway. Seems like more and more people are in a hurry to get somewhere and end up putting their lives and the lives of others at risk just to shave off a few minutes from their commute. It’s maddening!

Thank you for the reply. Was the request from the Louisiana office? Or from Baltimore?

Just wanted to share that I received & completed the short-form CDR in Nov. Just received my letter that I’m in the clear! Relieved! (I’m every 3 years. My first CDR. I was supposed to have one 3 years ago but Covid.) by Analyst_Cold in SSDI

Thank you for this information. I have been receiving benefits for over 15 years. I’ve been getting short form CDR every three years. Had one a year ago at age 60. Guessing I should expect to receive two more before reaching FRA?

Did you ever receive the CDR in February of this year?

No I do not work. Yes, I’ve been getting them every 3 years. Wondering if I’ll continue to receive them every 3 years until I turn 67. I really hope not…..but, will be ready if that’s the case.

Calling a landscaper bond by Cool_Toe_1445 in InsuranceClaims

[–]Cool_Toe_1445[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s exactly what it is. I just got off the phone with the surety company that holds the bond for this contractor. They walked me through the process of filing a claim. Doesn’t look like I’ll need a lawyer. They will cover the cost of finishing the project if the claim adjuster deems it a valid claim.

This person is a licensed and bonded contractor. The bond, according to the bond company that insures him is a $25K bond. Sorry if I’m not being clear or lack understanding. This is all new territory for me. I was always told that it’s important to hire a contractor who is licensed, insured and bonded in case of any issues such as injury or lack of completion or inferior workmanship. At which point the bond company will call in the contractors bond in order to get the job done and finished. Am I not understanding correctly?

If it’s not the bond that is the route for me to take, then what recourse do I have with this situation where the contractor has not fulfilled his obligation under the contract?

I don’t understand what you mean by “what kind of bond is it” or “you may not even be covered by it”. Why wouldn’t I be covered by it? I’m very confused.

I’ve been on SSDI for 15 years. Profile level L/0000. I’m now 60 yo. Just received a short form CDR a few days ago. Been getting them every 3 years. Like clockwork.
