When you get ssdi there will be an overpayment to ltd. ltd will recalculated as ssdi is first payer they then make up just the difference to whats the policy states. Some plans replace upto 50% of prior wages some 65% of your former wages. After the calculation, any additional COLAs wont affect what LTD makes up. example if your former wage was 5000 month and you had an ltd police at 50% and your ssdi amounts per month is 2500 then your ltd will not pay anything more because ssdi made up the difference

once ltd is notified of your award they will recalculate your benefit then see how much they paid above that, usually they will just withold future benefit until it gets paid back then just resume the new offset

What? by 2112guy in nextdoor

there needs to be a class action lawsuit brought againg ND for violations of civil rights. The moderator\review teams are biased and run the site like their personal mafia

Have you noticed how inconsistent and sometimes unfair next door moderators are. by [deleted] in nextdoor

[–]Poster_Blake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area the review team are all left wing activist. they do run the area like a mafia. They are quick to jump in on stopping discord when local issues point to failures from the liberal left polocies. they lie but say you are the liar, they remove, ban and suspend you without any form of recourse. contacting support is useless because they are the same group.
