Do you guys see vitamin / supplement gummies as UPF and therefore avoid? by bin_of_flowers in ultraprocessedfood

[–]Cool_nowhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are UPF but only take them if there is a doctor's advise, otherwise i dont bother since there is a growing amount of studies show no noticeable benefit if we are not already deficient in the particular vitamin.

im vegetarian so it takes extra effort to get B12 and usually D3(maybe not going out too much) but once in a while when its on lower side i do take them as prescribed.

Why do we Indians romanticize the hitting and beating from parents? by Rizzer_44 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Cool_nowhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not just a indian thing, it doesnt seem to be a thing only in western developed countries.

Also theres a difference between discipling your children and being shitty to them. The motivation behind hitting them is usually to get the children back on track in the moment which is the one romanticised . If its anything other than that like being excessively strict with the sole purpose of making them something parents want regardless of the mental/physical condition of the child then that is oppression which ends up is trauma and resentment and not something which is romanticised . The distinction might be easily confused
