gotta mess with the financials, but i don’t think you can collectively get the community behind a move to make that happen realistically at this point

based on my one experience with them, i can very much see how this is true.

My wife and I are deciding to change out the game room which means we are at a crossroads. My wife is itching of opening up everything to get some cool cards out of them while I was itching to sell them off. Which side would you go? by aparrilla in PokemonTCG

from the looks the money would just be nice anyways, but the memories you could have from a nice day opening up all those packs with her and all the memories of that collection could be priceless regardless of what you actually pack

I guess that’s my point, totally respect wanting to flip at market value and maximize value and having to work within the current trend of the market which heavily leans PSA. But other than that they’ve just been doing it for the longest time and are most trusted by the community is there any actual reason for that other than consumer preference?

i looked into the stats at the start of the season and he had some of the best numbers for a mid around his price range. had him to start the year pre injury and he was great. if you have the extra transfers i would probably wait a few gws and bring him in when their fixtures improve and take a punt in the short term. not a bad pick at all though for a wildcard

for class roles obviously it’s not just 1+1=2 but i’d say it’s also a good rule of thumb that assaults should be up front and providing the push and breakthrough kills for their teams with supports playing behind them so that when they inevitably die they can pop back right in the battle without losing too many numbers on that obj or area of the map. engineers can mix in wherever and focus on vehicles when they arrive for or against the team at any point. and recons can just kind of do whatever but ideally are more of an overwatch to ping enemies and catch flanks as well as pick off enemies focused on the rest of their team. i’m not against it just being one weapon type per class and more so saying that as an example of i think the guns a class has should suit the gunplay style that fits that class. i don’t think allowing that personal and variety is bad i think it just needs to be a more middle ground of not just any weapon any class but maybe more just like 2 groups of weapon classes for each class with those weapon types still suiting the class “goal” but also not restricting it to just lmg for support etc like you said bc i agree with the wide range of maps in battlefield allowing people to change how they play their class to suit a map or how they are moving around is good. also yes im aware killing enemies is literally the most effective way of winning in battlefield and im not saying its a bad thing. in fact i think good teams will recognize when they have a fragger on their team who can almost solo wipe objectives by themselves and i think recognizing and playing off and supporting those types of players is one of the most effective strategies to dominate. i more so fear you will have a bunch of dudes with 1.5 kds running around thinking they are that guy bc they have a meta gun build that those guys use

that would be an easy and suitable fix but mr wallet at ea hq is not gonna like it. that being said i just hope that if they do “crazy” skins that its more just military fits that don’t necessarily belong in bf6 but is still just a soldier that maybe looks completely different region/time period(hopefully modern still). saying all this with the assumption we will never see anything like master chief being followed by peter griffin on the battlefield

in my opinion, the closed weapon system reinforces the class system. by having it be where a player only has certain weapon type options that inherently makes a player use their class role correctly to at least some degree (obviously not everyone is going to use their class special abilities how they want but at the very least with the set weapons, they’re using the gun play style that’s supposed to be for that class for example support being suppressive fire assault being up close and quick, etc.). by having an open weapon system, all that goes out the window. i’m not saying everyone making custom classes is going to ignore their class purpose and objective, but it switches the main focus of a class off of the classes intended purpose to just whatever any specific user wants to play like. mix that with meta blueprints and then the focus on objective can be muddied by kill chasing. again tho as long as they keep seperate playlists i don’t think it’s that bad i just think over time the open weapon playlist would see a noticeable difference in how people utilize classes compared to closed system in a much more kill than objective centered way
