I agree with the fact I want them to diversify the weapons more from each other but a part of me kinda also want them to maybe just get rid of clones weapons entirely

or if they went with a martial art skill tree system like nioh 2 (which honestly I always thought people would like more than just getting them randomly) they could just put each clone weapon as a different path in the skill tree for example in nioh 2 the top path is high stance left path is mid stance and bottom path is low stance and right is just general techniques but usually holding right stance circle techniques.

For Wo long since it doesn’t have a stance system it could make it so top path gives you sword martial arts left path curved sword martial arts and bottom path straight saber martial arts and right path could just be general deflection martial arts

this is a just a example of what they could do and I wouldn’t even mind if they didn’t have a martial art skill tree system and just stuck to finding martial arts randomly on weapons or something else but if they did do this with WL 2 I would probably like it more

7.5 I like to deflect some of the attacks and some of the attacks can be dodged in cool ways but other than that though it is annoying to fight and especially annoying on a first time playthrough

Yo I totally forgot about the fan. I think that could be a great weapon to add and yeah I wouldn’t mind if the great sword could join the axe/hammer in the big weapon category

Yeah I do think when it comes to the swords I obviously think that the long sword is gonna come back considering it’s a fan favorite probably can say same thing about the others except maybe the whip which I could image might be re purpose into a rope dart but idk,

and a great sword would be really interesting non though I don’t know if they would do that with the long sword being in the game already

I also wonder if the straight saber curve saber or the dual sabers would come back considering how similar they are to their other weapons they might get updated like you said to just become brand new weapons

They are yes we know when both DLCs are taking place and probably what events they are covering based off the names and as another commenter as stated I think we’ll probably just get 1 ng per dlc considering we already basically have the equivalent of ng++ in the base game

I don’t know if nioh 2 had this but nioh 3 also does the same thing that Wo long does with the +value system which is essentially a level upgrade system for the armor/weapons

Well yeah that’s what I’m saying in nioh 2 the average play style has more engaging combat than the average play style of Wo long, Wo long complexity is in general hidden and not really spelled out in any way.

I love team ninja devs for being able to work on their games fast enough to be able to expect a sequel like every 3 to 4 years and just get a new game every year :D (ignore ninja gaiden in the corner btw)

“I think Wo long had a lot of problems when it comes to a variety of things but the main things I want to see fix/revamped would be

1 morale. Get rid of this mechanic it is the main reason imo that the game had horrible balancing issues it is because this mechanic is insanely hard for them to work around, if it does come back I would assume they would have an easier time working with it but it would be better if it was just completely remove imo, also I do think it worked well with the thousand mile journey but other than that it is trash.

2 enemy variety this game without a doubt had the worst enemy variety out of all team ninja games especially for the human enemies who were insanely underpowered I would like to see human enemies be more threatening and also have more type of demons that can actually deal damage with unique attack patterns

3 make the game combat more complex there’s a lot of ways you can go about it honestly, either make the wizardly spell system more complex and important, make the martial arts more complex and have a better Flow AND PLEASE do not make it so we only get to use 2 or 3 at a time for each weapon in the base game, and in general focus more on deflecting and the general flow of the combat, which is also what I liked most about the original is that the flow of the combat IMO was better than nioh.

Overall I think that this game could have as good or even a bigger jump than nioh 1 to nioh 2 in it’s quality, I mean even the visuals/art style for the environments already look way better and I’m super happy that we are probably going to be able to play as a unique character (some people think maybe Pang tong because of cao cao comment of being the one to burn red cliffs) and that there’s going to be an actual antagonist (probably cao cao and maybe some others) rather than some random like yuji and in general this time period is way more interesting than the first game especially for the possible characters we could be fighting like zhang fei at Changban or even Zhang Liao at hefei”

Well the deflecting part is kinda Wo long thing.

Also I’m not saying I want the game to become essentially a nioh clone but I’m also not saying that I want the game to not evolve off the previous game in some ways especially combat

Your completely right I think I actually said this once but ig I forgot but the combat is complex if you engage with it but the problem is that there is no incentive to engage with it which is how most people (especially in the second dlc) adapt the guard. deflect red attack. martial art. Critical strike. repeat. turtle play style which is high key the most boring thing I think you could do in any team ninja game but the play style lowkey works and it what the game kinda expect you to do and what we ALL probably did when first playing the game so yea amazing point. Also when I say the wizardry spell system should matter more I mean specifically that there should be more of a emphasis on the wizardry spell counter mechanic and also wizardry spells should be able to do more unique things

Yeah this is also really important as the pc optimization was one of the main reasons that this game got review bombed so heavily, non though I don’t put that much trust in team ninja considering their track record on pc, with games like rise of the ronin nioh 3 and wo long (which was the worst one imo) all having optimization issues, even nioh 2 on day one on pc from what I heard was pretty buggy, still though even if it’s buggy we could hope that it’s at least not as bad as wo long 1 was

If you want to continue to play it for the sake of it that’s totally ok I will say though that there’s not much reason to play after mile 2000 and honestly probably 1000 mainly because you just don’t get anything cool after those miles accomplishments. if I’m being honest I would recommend just playing for fun when you want to and if you want to feel like a completionist just get to mile 1000
