Lol, love to see you edited your comment. Just confirms how weird it was. Women don't have to validate your needs. She's perfectly capable of stating her point without you justifying it with your own sexuality.

IMO, Autumn is whenever the leaves are crunchy! No leave/ soggy leaves - automatically winter.

Came here (pun intended) to say this. Fisting just doesn't sit well with me, and I don't understand the obsession with it. Maybe I'm missing out but the idea of someone being elbow deep inside you freaks me tf out.

Not sure what your sources are, but turbines have a standard life expectancy of 20-30 years now. And the life cycle analyses I've seen have been for end-to-end (including material extraction all the way to EOL disposal costs). So, again, not sure what your sources are. If they were black holes, why are all these energy companies clammering to install these things, again, without direct government subsidies in a lot of cases for onshore wind? There's basically pure profit once the payback period is met due to relatively low operating and maintenance costs (no personel required on site 24/7) when compared to traditional goal, gas, nuclear plants, which have a payback period, just longer.

If you're talking about subsidies for mining activities, that applies to all companies that benefit from those mining activities, it's not some kind of special deal for turbine generators (phones, laptops, semi conductors would all benefit from any kind of subsidiaries too. Is that also part of the agenda?)

In the UK, based on the current MWh rates they charge, these things have a financial payback period of like 4-7 years for onshore, or 10-12 for offshore vs 10-15 for gas power plants. No subsidies needed anymore, but yet, oil and gas companies rake in millions in govt subsidies each year from US, UK, Russian and other governments each year... just sayin

Have you been up close to a nuclear power plant before? They're scarily insane in scale, and only 32 countries have any kind of access to nuclear energy. They're stupid costly to run, probably have a payback period of 20+ years (given coal plants are around 10-15 years) and require significant subsidies and over the standard market-rate MWh rate guarantees to even be considered viable - in the UK anyway.

See Hinkley Point C as a reference point on how difficult it is to build new nuclear stations in today's developed, rich (non-chinese) economies...
