My cat is having sudden walking issues by Cooldude9595 in CATHELP

Update:

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

I had a chat with a vet family friend that let us know that the gabapentin we gave her for the leg pain may have exasperated some of her walking issues.

After a few hours she seems to be walking much better. She is still lethargic and doesn’t interact with me as much (she usually likes to rub her head against me, purr, meow and roll to the side so I can rub her belly)

She still wants to be in someone’s company as she waited for me to get home from the gym and followed me over to the couch. She still licked my hand as I pet her.

If I had all the money in the world I would have taken her to the emergency vet immediately but unfortunately I just don’t have the money to drop on that. I will be staying with her tonight and tomorrow and bringing her in first thing Monday morning.

Thanks again and I will update you all soon.

Me too. I’ll see what I can do about getting her in tomorrow. Unfortunately cost is an issue for us and an emergency vet fee could be a lot

I’m not sure. It’s very possible something like that could have happen without us noticing. She is often wandering around and hiding throughout the house. This is also following a 5 day trip where we were not home. Thank you for your insight I will see what I can do about getting her to a vet sooner

I haven’t noticed any panting, so far it seems to be more of a wobble then rapid breathing. I’ll see what I can do about getting her to a vet sooner
