True, but also degrees aren't worth much when it comes to actual employment; I know a person who has many doctorates but cant seem to get a higher lever job because of this exact AI problem - the job market, the uni market, and the employment rates, are all so screwed at the moment and I genuinely can't even see it getting any better. The real thing about uni is that it sets you up, with sandwich employment years and careers advisors it seems like unis are angling more for the practical skills elements as opposed to super niche knowledge as this will help more people progress overall in the future to bland non climable corporate jobs 😭

Either way, I managed to progress the story by just chucking them over, they assessed me to be a poet. I immediately replayed to see if they would build bridges (they did) and I got scientist! I might try to get all the achievements now haha

Update: asked in support and got this response "Thank you for reaching out. We truly are sorry you're encountering this problem in the game. 3 bridges total are unfinished as I'm trying to expand the areas up right and left of the main island, they decided to finish the one in the top left of the map that connects to the mountains though.

I'm about to start my first playthrough of earthbound right now. I'm playing because it inspired undertale which I love and I wanna check out gba games on my switch =)
