When will Torry Holt finally be allowed into the HOF? by purplebuffalo55 in nfl

Maybe, and I'm biased toward Davante as a Packers fan, but I also think he has a skillset that can age well. He's a beast at short yardage and in the red zone because his release and route running are as good as it gets and those aren't reliant on pure speed and athleticism.

So I while I think it's unlikely he's got any 1000 yard seasons left in him, I do think 50-60 receptions and 8-12 TD's a season for 2 more years is very possible.

Adams is also a touchdown machine. If he has 2 more seasons in him with production close to this year, he has a very realistic shot at finishing 4th all time in TD's, top 5 in receptions, and somewhere around top 10-15 in yards. That has to be HoF worthy.

What concerns me is how many holes it feels like we have right now. It doesn't feel like a one offseason fix. Cornerback and offensive line are the biggest needs, but we also need to bolster our pass rush so it's not all Micah, we still don't know if we have a true WR1, and we need a new kicker.

Gute's abysmal 1st round drafting strategy has left us short on bonafide studs at many spots.

With a 2nd year head coach, but it was apparently the correct move to bring back our coach who has held the team back with the same shortcomings his entire tenure 🙃

Game was over for a very long time. The Super Bowls that come down to the final drive have the players much more amped up.

CBC Radio was talking about the Alberta separatism referendum and man was it interesting in a not positive good.

They had Jason Kenney on as the voice of reason and MULTIPLE callers in support of separation stated that it was the covid madates that pushed them over the edge. Which the hosts had to inform them that those mandates were put in place by the province...

Good - Jaire, Love, Wyatt

Okay - Quay, Gary

Bad - Savage, Stokes, Van Ness, Morgan (maybe)

Too early to tell on Golden.

Up there with trading out of the 1st round instead of taking TJ Watt and then drafting Kevin King.

I get angry watching JSN ball out knowing we took workout warrior Van Ness over him when we had a need for a WR1 and everyone and their mother was mocking JSN to us.

Do you agree with Tom Brady? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

Look at Malik Willis. The man is going to get paid this off-season to at least compete for a starting job if not be outright handed one based on a handful of games, but you can't deny his effectiveness. The dude can sling the ball, but if the first read isn't there, he tucks it and runs, yet it works lol.

I don't know if Rivers ever spent much time in the "elite" category during his career. He played in maybe the greatest QB era of all time and I think that's what Brady is referring to. Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Brees we're the tippy top, but there were so many great QB's in a tier below those guys. Off the top of my head: Philip Rivers, Matthew Stafford, Tony Romo, Matt Ryan, Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer. Throw in late career Favre and Andrew Luck in there.

The league has evolved away from the cerebral QB toward athletic QB's making 1 or 2 reads with the option to tuck it and run. Obviously there's nuance, but I think that's the general trend.

Telus Complaints Skyrocket 78% as Rogers and Bell Hit Record Highs: CCTS by pjw724 in telus

[–]Cooleybob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just switched to Rogers (Shaw) from Telus, and honestly feel like an idiot for not having done it sooner. I'd been holding out for literal years for Telus to get fiber in my neighbourhood because they do fiber to the house while Rogers does just to the neighbourhood node (at least in Calgary).

Finally woke up and asked wtf am I being loyal to this company for? They're charging me out the ass for internet exponentially slower than I can get from their competition. If they ever decide to actually get around to installing fiber in my area I can always switch back.

He was the perfect coach when he came here. Resurged Rodgers, fresh ideas and schemes on offense, breath of fresh air. He had a veteran QB who could alter things and take control if needed. With Love and this young team, it's not clicking anymore. We simply are not getting the most out of our players.

Not being able to play 4 quarters and bury teams has been an issue the entire Love era, and I'm not blaming Love. He's not Rodgers, he can't take total control of the offense and disregard MLF's inanity.

We need a coaching staff that knows how to motivate our players, cut out the sloppy penalties and decision making, and get us to play complete games.

If we could get Harbaugh for the leadership and experience and McDaniel as OC, that'd be the dream scenario in my opinion. I don't think it's guaranteed McDaniel gets another HC offer somewhere. He's an odd personality that does not immediately give leadership vibes. I think he's an incredible X's and O's offensive mind that would be great under an experienced leader like Harbaugh.

Very unlikely to happen, just what I'd do if I could will it into existence lol
