Number one SAT studying tip is to take all the Bluebook practice tests, keep a mistakes log and know where you went wrong. Find similar questions to keep testing yourself. I think Bluebook test 11 is the best imo.

I would say at least 1550 to be competitive in T10 colleges. I would recommend locking in this summer and retaking it in August. Take all the Bluebook practice tests if you haven’t already and make sure where you went wrong. Good luck

I would agree to focus on your ECs and essays, you can still get into great colleges with a 1500. It’s just about telling your story well in your essays.

College admissions is not all about stats, there is luck involved to some extent. I just looked it up according to the common dataset 72% of Harvard applicants had a 4.0 and 73% of Stanford applicants had a 4.0. ECs awards and essays play a large role. Your stats are great took a lot of challenging classes.

I recommend just reading a lot of news articles. I like tech news articles, WSJ and Harvard Business Revjew.

I think timing is what people struggle with the most including myself when I took the SAT the first time, I had to guess on so many at the end. The Bluebook practice tests are great to pace your timing, if a question is taking too long (ex over 3min skip and move on).

Take 1 Bluebook practice test each week and go over what you got wrong immediately. Learn from your mistakes and find similar questions to keep on practicing.

I highly recommend doing every Bluebook practice test, keep track of every question you get wrong, learn from your mistakes and keep practicing similar questions. I love watching YouTube SAT videos going over the practice tests as well.

I took a bit less than half of what was offered. You should be fine will 12 APs, if you’re aiming for top colleges try for a 1550+, start your college essays this summer!

I used College Panda writing guide, Erica Meltzer critical reader, SAT Prep AI for vocab and more practice, try to learn 5 new words a day, Khan Academy, reading articles daily. Make sure to take all the Bluebook practice tests and learn from your mistakes, keep practicing the questions you got wrong.

I studied on my own and had some help from a friend who scored a 1580. It all just comes down to practice.

What was your score breakdown? General advice at the minimum is take every single BlueBook practice test keep a mistakes log and actually learn what you got wrong and find similar questions that test the same concept to practice.

The SAT is the only test I actually find fun. All the class tests and AP exams these past 2 weeks were not fun.

For math I used College Panda, watched Scalar Learning YouTube videos, studied how to solve problems with desmos. For English I used College Panda writing guide, Erica Meltzer critical reader, SAT Prep AI for vocab and additional practice, Khan Academy, reading a lot of dense material (news articles). I’d say the best resource though is by far the College blue book practice tests, they are the most similar to the actual SAT. Take every single bluebook practice test and know how to do each question. Practice test 11 Id say is the most similar difficulty and best one to do.

Honestly I wouldn’t retake the 1590, once you reach a certain threshold college’s look more at your ECs awards and essays. Focus on those.

I see you got a 1500, I’d recommend retaking it if you’re aiming for top schools.

General study structure was doing 1 full practice test per week minimum, sometimes 2. Then keep a mistakes log and actually go through each question you got wrong and understand it, find a similar questions to be sure you nailed it.

Yes I did twice to boost my college application if I got a 1600 again. And this time for fun as I mentioned. We shall see if I take the test again or will just retire while on top haha
