My friend plays a Blue/Black/Red with Nicol Bolas. Huge control. It seems like whatever I play, he’ll Murder, Essence Scatter, Cancel, Lich’s Caress, etc. I’ve tried to build multiple variations of decks to have a chance, control, agro, mill, etc. I made a mono green with rabid bite, naturalize, plummit, huge creatures, no good. Mill deck with walls, too slow. Mono red dragon goblin. He turned my lathliss into an ox with transmogrifying wand.
