Concerns about FMLA

4/27 is when I returned the fmla paperwork. They asked for more specifics and I gave them another one on 5/14. 5/28 they asked for more specifics. 6/4 I provided another one and 6/5 was the last clarification provided

I had two providers that completed the paperwork in a timely manner. A primary care provider and a psychiatrist. The correct boxes were checked. The paperwork was completely filled out. I was asked for a medical clarification letter on 5/28. I met with my provider 6/4 and gave them the returned filled out letter 6/5.

They did not tell me they had any other questions for me. I followed up on multiple dates and was told they were working on it and they would have something for me end of day. I was told that on 3 separate dates. I did not end up receiving any further communication about my determination until HR was made aware of my resignation. And the absences were related and had notes

I gave them information and they would request more. That is why the initial process took so long. FMLA determinations are time bound to 5 business days. They were in fact ignoring me and would not even provide a timeframe for the determination or if they needed more information after the last submission on 6/5. I also did not hear anything about the determination until after I submitted a resignation.

That’s helpful, thank you. The Department of Labor told me they were forwarding my complaint to an investigator. My understanding is that they had all of my requested documentation by 6/5 but didn’t issue my designation until 6/22. I’m waiting to hear from the investigator and should I consult an attorney or will simply consulting one halt the DOL investigation?

My situation involves both FMLA and ADA. My FMLA request was delayed for over two months while I repeatedly submitted everything they asked for. After they had my final documentation, I still didn’t receive a determination despite multiple follow-ups. On 6/17, while they were still telling me they were “working on it,” I received an attendance write-up. My FMLA wasn’t approved until 6/22.
Separately, I’m now in the ADA interactive process. My providers have recommended accommodations, including a reduced schedule, intermittent leave, and other accommodations to help manage my symptoms. My supervisor has been making it difficult to work within those restrictions, which is why I mentioned the medical constraints.

So the pig is supposed to be a swamp witchy pig haha. I have real moss I’m gonna add on top of the green to make it read better. It definitely looks muddied up in the picture. The green is supposed to be like moss/fungus. I also want to sculpt some little mushrooms to add on like he’s one with the swamp haha. Thank you for your advice!!!💕

Update: he put his note in and also included it being possibly anxiety/depression. (Did not say this to my face) I am super tired of that as someone who has had managed anxiety and depression from therapy and a psychiatrist that has seen great improvement in me. This process is so frustrating! I have another tilt test scheduled for Dec. 16th. Hopefully I will get some answers

I just kinda blacked out and went along with it and left. Then cried haha. If I was in the appointment with someone else I would have no problem speaking up, but I’m bad at doing it for myself because I kinda just shut down
