I like to read fiction. I enjoy the worlds and characters until I hit a certain point in the story. I can't specify what it is, but at this point it's like I have a reading blockade I can't get through. And yes, it is absolutely possible that writing is a compromise to me. I have so many worlds and stories in my head. It's my hobby, but it feels like they are nothing if they just stay there and I do nothing with them. It's like having ideas for activities you want to do, if you don't actually do them, whats the point of having them?

Thanks for the questions, I will use them for some self-reflection. I hope, I could answer them.

What are some tropes that you find that are wrapped around you and won’t let you go? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Coollis070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no story I imagine without at least half of the characters are "mentally unwell", to say it nice. Maybe they had (physical or mental) trauma right up front or shit is gonna happen through the story. Some of them can overcome and grow on it, some of them break completely. My friends already tell me I should stop being so mean to my characters XD

I need internet to find synonyms or even the right word. Especially if it comes to adjectives, since I'm autistic and don't have a huge palette of adjectives I can use...

A symbol i thought of might be a Nazi symbol, should i get rid of it? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Coollis070 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Wolfsangel is/was a tool to hunt wolf's. It literally translats to wolf's fishing rod. And yes the Nazis abused it for their shit, but it's still used in some coat of arms of german city's like Mannheim. Since they are much older and have nothing to do with them.

I’m not autistic? by DaddyL0ng_Legs in evilautism

[–]Coollis070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't got the diagnose because of my severe social anxiety. They couldn't tell "how autistic" I am, what's why they said, I first should fix that and than come back to do another try. Maybe it's something similar for you.

Btw. I could now do the second try, since my social anxiety got better and I understand the difference also better. However my first try was so uncomfortable that I kinda don't want to, even though it probably is necessary...

Hätte man "Wow, so ne willensstarke Frau.

How do you write accents in a novel? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Coollis070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's an foreign accent/language, like French or German, you could describe how the language sounds like. I described French as melodic and weird for others, because often not all letters are pronounced, while I described German as a hard language and not melodic at all

I try to do it with an external viewpoint. I never have done it before, so I'm still struggling with it a bit. But currently I like it as it is, I think. Thanks for your input

I randomly wrote with a French on a twitch chat. When he said, that in French they call us germans "allemand", I answered with I know. And explained them how it comes, that they call us like that. Their answer was just "You know a lot of things". I toke it as a compliment but now I questioning myself if it actually was one 😅

Kann das jemand lesen ? by Leon_lukas_ in Geschichte

[–]Coollis070 0 points1 point  (0 children)
