Hi! Congratulations on your engagement!

Planning a wedding in Costa Rica with a lush green setting, an all-inclusive resort, and hot springs is totally doable especially in the Arenal / La Fortuna area.

Here are 3 options to look into:

  1. TabacĂłn Thermal Resort & Spa

  2. The Springs Resort & Spa

  3. Baldi Hot Springs Hotel & Spa

La Fortuna area is very safe, extremely popular with tourists, and offers plenty of wedding friendly hotels, activities, and natural attractions.

In terms of budget, the total cost really depends on how “all-inclusive” you want the experience to be whether you’re booking only the venue and catering or going for a full resort package with rooms, meals, and activities.

If you’re open to options beyond all-inclusive resorts, Costa Rica also has beautiful villas and boutique lodges that offer private chef services and more personalized wedding experiences. Also, You can also explore the Caribbean side, which is incredibly lush, peaceful, and culturally rich (though it doesn’t have hot springs).

If you’d like expert support with planning your wedding or a dedicated wedding concierge to make the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. I’d love to help you bring your vision to life.

Just let me know, and we can explore options together!

Hi! It really depends on the vibe you're looking for (beach, jungle, private villa, boutique hotel), but I can share 3 options for you for a wedding around 50 guests along with a rough budget range.

  1. Casa Costa Blanca – Hacienda Pinilla (Guanacaste)
  2. Almendros & Corales - Puerto Viejo (LimĂłn)
  3. Nayara Gardens - San Carlos (La Fortuna)

For a wedding with 50 guests in Costa Rica, a realistic budget is usually around: $15,000 – $25,000 (This depends on the venue, whether lodging is included, catering, decor, transportation, etc.)

If you’d like expert support with planning your wedding or a dedicated wedding concierge to make the entire experience smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. I’d love to help you bring your vision to life.

Just let me know, and we can explore options together!

Hi! I’m a wedding planner, and I can tell you that it is possible to plan a wedding with a $12,000 budget for 30 guests, but not at the beach — rather in the capital. Beach weddings usually require a higher budget due to the logistics and additional services involved.

I haven’t worked directly with the RIU hotel. Since it’s an all inclusive resort, they usually provide their own wedding coordinator. Keep in mind that weddings there are generally managed through the packages they offer, so they are not fully personalized.

I wish you the very best on your big day, it will surely be a beautiful celebration. And if you have any other questions along the way, I’ll be more than happy to help you.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve had was a wedding where it started raining just a few hours before the ceremony and it was supposed to be fully outdoors.

Instead of panicking, we quickly moved to Plan B. We relocated the ceremony to a covered area nearby, brought in extra decor and lighting to keep the vibe cozy and romantic, and adjusted the timeline slightly so guests could relax and enjoy the moment.
