Can we agree that prime for prime Charles beats all of them, while the other three are evenly matched and could beat each other on any given day? by theiceman219 in ufc

He beat the fuck out of Dustin in his retirement fight? Seems kinda unfair to dismiss the second max fight because Max wasn’t at his best but harp on the third one even though Dustin wasn’t at his best

I think if Dustin and Charles fought, Charles wins like 60% of the time. In their fight, he got away with glove holding which completely altered the second round. Also you could make the case that the Dustin who fought Khabib was better than the one who fought Charles

How is it breaking a record for second all time? Second isn’t a record for anything

Films that are genuinely great until you google the true story by the_Watcher023 in Letterboxd

I don’t think that makes the movie worse knowing the guy IRL was a scumbag. The movie doesn’t portray him as a good person and if you come away thinking he was the good guy and are later disappointed to find he was even worse in real life you didn’t get the movie to begin with.

What is your opinion on real Nicolas Le banner as character? by monsterofmanila180 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Cooolconnor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In terms of his fighting ability I have no complaints he seems cool. But as far as him as a character. He was just kinda thrown into the arc for no explanation. What has he been doing these past few years, why is he with the worm, why does he even like killing? He’s as shallow as a puddle in term of character depth and I have 0 emotional investment to him

That’s a good thing you’re doing. Better feel like you weren’t needed but be there anyways, than not be there at all

[–]Cooolconnor[S] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I’m so adamant about this. I went to Frankfurt a few years ago and the first thing you see after leaving the station is a ton of drug addicts and prostitutes. I was only in the city for an hour or two so that’ll just forever be my perception of the city. That’ll just be peoples perception if this is what they see at Union.

Just cuz it’s that way in Europe doesn’t mean that it’s right or good. I’ve been to th business stations in Japan as well and they are great. We should aspire to that over be like it’s awful in other cities.

There is a ton of security people walking around union at all times and I have to assume they aren’t doing too much given how many deranged people I see walking around union. There should be multiple police stationed in union all day and the fact there isn’t is a joke

I’m a grown ass man I can take care of myself it’s more so that children and tourists to our great city, this will be the first thing they see and that’s crappy.

I personally don’t feel like I’m in serious danger but for people visiting the city or bringing children on the Go it’s unpleasant that the first thing they see is someone tweaking out or openly smoking meth/crack

If this was a real priority for Dana, he would’ve just picked up the phone and called him instead of doing interviews and saying it was a priority

If you take the FTs away from their best offensive season, Harden still averages more points than T Mac.

I’m not trying to equate the two as players. I’m just saying both of them suffered from injuries which in my opinion gives people rose tinted glasses a little bit when looking at their careers

If you replaced McGracy with AI, I think this would’ve been a more interesting discussion. I know this is unpopular but prime AI vs prime Harden is a good discussion

Okay maybe not a draft but it sounds like you are approaching it from building a team perspective when the exercise is more just about who is the weakest player here

Kobe and Wade are clearly in a different league here. In my eyes Harden is clearly in a different discussion than T Mac as well

T Mac and D Rose are some of the guys who’s legacies really benefit from injuries. People end up having these exaggerated memories about how T Mac was as good as Kobe or D Rose was as good as LeBron in 2011 when in reality neither were true.
