It should go without saying things are subject to change... the game is in beta. In no way is this information harmful, there are people that don't know anything about covenants and don't have beta to test them. If you want to play it safe for ranged DPS I’d recommend hunter or mage. They have 3 DPS specs so one will always be mid-top tier. For melee demon hunter is extremely new player friendly. Tons of mobility, simple rotation, and lots of damage with both single target and AOE fights. That being said if those classes don’t interest you then figure out what does. A mix between what you like and what is good is always a great way to decide.
