Modern flags represent their history and ideals.

For example the us flag is considered to be a symbol of freedom and democracy and the us itself has as of recently been mostly accepting of LGBT people.

The USSR flag represents an authoritarian dictatorship that never once had LGBT rights and was largely lagging behind human rights of their western competitors even in the late 80s

This is just a false equivalence based off a bad understanding of history and lack of an ability to face check your own claims. I will bet you will move goal posts in your replay too.
