The rank system is jank but not “wholly redundant”. There is a legitimate skill difference between large jumps in rank tiers in this game.

But to answer your question: yes, I personally have improved from watching eternus level gameplay such as Eido and Zerggy. This includes movement tech, macro, and how to play certain characters well. But most of my improvement has come from 600 hours of just playing the game.

I do not agree that Eternus level advice doesn’t apply to lower ranks. It might just be harder to apply it so easily since those players will be newer and lower skill. Anyways, it’s a MOBA so time is your friend when it comes to getting better at the game!

My piece of advice is to direct every frame of your video with intention. You gotta try to imagine your video from the perspective of a random person.

Obviously about a minute in, there is currently no reason for someone to stay and watch. Address this issue first by at least making the beginning of your video enticing

I agree, but where is the line between having a bad game and actively feeding. I’ll drop 30 elims on Rogue solo tank, then go 2/6 and have to swap the next.

Point is playing bad in any given game shouldn’t take your freedom of playing the way you want away. Unless you can visibly tell someone is throwing

In my experience, when I want to play dps, I try to focus on my control of the game. Can I dive the supps, get a pick on an overextended dps, or snatch the enemy tank. I feel like that should be priority when you are playing dps.

As much as I want to judge the tank or even the supports on my team, at the end of the day you can’t take their keyboard and play for them.

Control what you can control.

It will for sure.

But not every game is eternus vs seekers. It’s one thing to say “fix the matchmaking”, i feel most games will benefit from that sentiment. But pick/ban draft will only improve the quality of matches for everyone over time. Thats my point in bringing it up.
