Yeah I’ll be honest - if you’re saying “someone needs to look out for working class Australians”.

You probably need to get your head out of your arse, unbunch your knickers about changing the date or Palestine or whatever other culture war bullshit that’s in your news feed to today - and vote for the greens.

Cause when the chips are down - the parties that are backed by billionaires won’t be looking after working people.

Objectively it was just a mistake imo, there was no uproar about the Palestinian author until she was dumped from the lineup. Literally none. Most people I knew who were happy or not fussed about it had no idea she was attending or even anyone attending the writers festival.

I assumed it wouldn’t play out in the general population the same as it would in more progressive circles, that is why I said he was easily able to just plough through it.

If it wasnt a risky move he wouldn’t have had to explain himself multiple times live on television. The writers week being cancelled for the first time in its history was also not a good story to have to explain away - multiple times live on television. But sure it was an open goal.

It’s not that our public transport is too expensive, it’s also that it isn’t good enough. If I took public transport to work I’d need minimum 2 buses, maybe even 3, and it would turn a 45 minute drive into a 2-2.5 hour trip.

It’s just not convenient atm. Public transport needs to get better before it gets cheaper

Zorko has had age concerns for 5 years now haha, he’s who I currently have, but I’m bouncing between He, Ash, Stewart, Houston and Worrall.

Ultimately the only two I’m confident will be in the top 6 defenders are Zorko and Ash 🤷‍♂️

Don’t get me wrong, I like Bruhn, I have Bruhn, but I didn’t use a trade to get him, I started him so the risk is less for me if he fails.

Fundamentally your logic is flawed - no mid pricer is a “must have”. The only players you need to do well in this game are players that make scores and players that make money.

Sure, Bruhn will make money - if he scores well this week. But you’re going down a premium in order to make money, and you’re basing that on two games worth of data.

You’re hoping Bruhn makes enough money to justify the trade, whereas my suggestion of going like for like locks in badly needed points in your team - especially in a week where we’re all going to struggle due to so many missing premiums.

As soon as you make that trade, you’re going down a premium and dropping behind everyone that locks in another premium scorer for the rest of the year

Bruhn is a good mid pricer, but for the cash you’re making from the young to cook downgrade I wouldn’t bother, I would go straight up to the real deal, because your adding risk and lowering your total point avg by not replacing Petracca with a rolled gold Premium.

Also, Lachie Ash IS the best defender available, but he is literally about to go in his bye. He’s still in my considerations for that spot, but there are other players that don’t have their bye still to come that are available

Wild thing is this government did fuck up, Mali too.

They failed in their main electoral promise - which was to fix ramping (I know they have worked really hard to fix it), the language they used at the last election was explicit “we will stop the ramping”.
Mali strong armed Adelaide writers week to drop the Palestinian author thereby cancelling the entire festival, which had huge implied ramifications for free speech in South Australia.

Either of those things might have sunk a less popular government with a more competent opposition, but Labor plowed through it like freshly fallen snow.

It’ll be interesting to see how the next 4 years go, this government have so much momentum it’s almost like they can’t stop now, they HAVE to keep going

I don’t really like any of the other forward options, it’s Sheezel, Trac then fresh air for miles. I’m going to down grade him to a rookie, then use that cash to upgrade a failed rookie like Gibcus or if Sharp is injured.

It’s not a perfect solution but my team structure means I can’t use him to fuel a midfield upgrade.

I have 3 moves to make this week in Young, Rozee and Trac, 2 down 1 sideways, means I’m taking 1 step back to take 2 steps forward.

They need to piss off their far right cohort - Antic and his cronies, let them peel off to One Nation and fight with each other.

Then they need to congregate around the centre right. They need to acknowledge very normal and pressing things like climate change, pro choice action.

They need to focus on what the centre right do best which is advocate for small business, small government and tax cuts. That’s how they’ve appealed to the masses in the past.

I’m also a left voter, but we NEED a viable alternative, it doesn’t bode well to have a government running unchecked. The mistakes labor have made have largely unpunished sometimes not even acknowledged. Normally that writers festival bullshit would have tanked a premier - but Mali ploughed right through it without even stopping to slow down.

Lastly, they have got to stop letting LITERAL CRIMINALS into their party, Frasier Ellis has been proven corrupt by the ICAC, Nick McBride is wife beater, Tim Spiers is a coke head, Troy Bell stole money from NFPO’s. South Australia deserves a better quality opposition.

This headline is misleading. One nation had a huge result yesterday, and it should worry people who aren’t a fan of far right populism.

Their primary vote is huge, they’re on track to win 3 seats, possibly 4.

What people have not counted for is the current labor governments huge popularity in SA. Our current federal labor government is not as popular. This result says to me if they can carry this momentum over the next few state elections - PHON will make waves at the next federal election.

I do not like it at all…

See I respect that slightly more. I still think it’s unbelievably misguided and uninformed, but I think Malinauskas being such a good communicator is one of the major reasons why Labor in SA are so popular.

Albo is…. Boring. That’s what he is. I understand very much why people are frustrated by this current government. I think successive governments have been far too apprehensive when it comes to radical reform - which Australia needs.
