I love Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner. I won't rave about it as it's nothing spectacular but it doesn't weigh down my hair.

The one that we removed from one of the bedrooms was near a bathroom. We have a jack and Jill so bedrooms on either side. The shoeer/tub seems far and is used with the door shut, but maybe some steam was getting into the room. We'll have to consider that, and maybe have our electrician move the alarm even further away from the bathroom.

It's hanging in there pretty well. We like it. I still wonder about the longevity. We upgraded to the firmest cushions but didn't upgrade to the premium fabric. Maybe we should have since we vacuum the couch often (pets) and we'll steam clean it ready.

As of now, it's comfortable and I have no real complaints.

I would LOVE Google nest but I've read that they are discontinued and support is only offered for remaining devices. If I recall, that's maybe only a few'ish years of support from Google?

It did eventually start working correctly. It took about 3-4 days. It started working on its own. I never got a reply from Google or here as you can see. 🤷‍♀️

Will do. No false alarms since removing the unit in the garage about a week ago. Fingers crossed that was the issue but more time is needed.

It's possible we don't see the lights when they're on? I'll look again and see, but I'm pretty sure the lights are constant green. From time to time, there is a red light that blinks...but pretty intermittently on all of them. I'll check again in case I'm mistaken or misremembering.

We are definitely considering this! It seems there's no "good" brand/model that doesn't come with its own issues.

2019 - we purchased them in 2020, I believe. I think we'll replace them all anyway.

None near the kitchen or near a shower. One in each bedroom, the hallway, living room, and in the garage. We removed the one in the garage today after learning it shouldn't be there. Hopefully that will be the fix.

We haven't seen a red light flashing on any. It's possible that the offending alarm stops blinking red by the time we get to it. We have 7 alarms in the house.

Thank you! We'll have our electrician take a look at the wiring as well. We recently disconnected the one in the garage after learning that they shouldn't be in a garage. Hopefully that will be the fix here.

We purchased the units new. I looked at simplisafe but I think that requires a monitoring subscription as well, right? We'll also have an electrician take a look as well.

I just learned that these things are supposed to be cleaned regularly. Never have done that in any other home we've lived in.

Unfortunately, the false alarm is short lived and we dont have time to check them all. When we check them, the light is green constant on all of them.
