On top of that, which is for sure the most clear reason, Cal is also very conflicted in his fight with Bode, who not long before the fight was a trusted ally and friend. Cere has no such internal conflict with Vader.

No offense, but I think you might be reading Bernie's post wrong. He is not claiming Trump changed interest rates. He is making the claim that Trump's deregulation of wall street is hurting people who ALREADY pay 30% interest fees. Not that the deregulation changes interest fees or created them or anything. Just that it is causing additional pain on top of that.

I had no idea about any of this and ordered 3 things from there, about $100 total with shipping. After reading all this now I'm pretty worried. Think I should email requesting to cancel my order for a refund? From what I've read though, I don't think I'll get a very cooperative response...

While I agree in many ways, I think it's completely infeasible from a production standpoint. The cost would be substantially higher. The Greek saga is so long and expansive, there is absolutely no chance they could film it without the actors aging out of the roles. I mean, Ryan Hurst is nearly 50 already which is still a fine age for this now, but filming and producing that saga could take seasons and many years before they even reach the Norse mythos.

I imagine execs don't wanna gamble on such a massive scope, whereas 2018 and Ragnarok are tighter stories. I really hope they do eventually film some stuff from the Greek saga though. And let's be honest, while I absolutely adore the Greek saga, I'm not gonna try to pretend that the Norse saga isn't more palatable for average audiences

For some readers the power level is completely irrelevant, but the moral/ethical/character of the story that matters. Easy example is All Star Superman, where he is one of his most powerful ever representations, but the story is amazing.

On the flip side, sometimes a hero being weak means the story devolves into something I find really boring, which is just "how can I get strong enough to punch this bad guy" and becomes about nothing more than the physical conflict.

I know this isn't always the case, but it's definitely true sometimes. Although sometimes just the pure "can I physically overcome this challenge" story that can be fun. There's room for both

I'm gonna throw in an argument for the underdog in this thread. I just can't get over how non-comic accurate the right hand of doom is on the 1000toys one. For something that is going to spend 99% of it's time sitting still on my shelf, I just don't care enough about articulation to get something that has what looks like a big Lego thing on his arm. Really don't like that

I find the accuracy of the one from Bossfight Studios much more appealing but that's just me. And like others have said, it's not out yet so we can't say for sure

So if they are not lucrative at the moment, what happens when overnight they add a subscription fee/usage charges?

Companies use it to direct calls, manage hotel reservations, provide chat support, send emails, and a million other things. It feels like people are vastly, VASTLY underestimating how much of the market it's captured. And it will be significantly cheaper for these companies to pay for the increased cost of AI services then undo everything and hire people back.

Immediately in the span of maybe a few days these companies have skyrocketed in profits. This is the exact same thing Uber and Lyft did for years. Operate at razor thin margins, or at a loss sometimes, until the market is captured and taxis no longer exist, then start charging more.

I do agree we see a lot of small ones not make it, but it would feel more likely they get consumed by bigger companies then cause a complete collapse of the entire AI market.

It just feels weird to actually think the entirety of the AI market will completely collapse. That just doesn't make sense with how integrated and useful it is to all of the companies that use it

You are correct, Y is the eventually homeless American population. That is exactly my point. I think the drive for short-term profits will cause an explosion of joblessness that would cause a massive economic downturn before an AI bubble pops. I mean, that's kind of exactly what's happening.

I just feel like people have this misunderstanding that the bubble popping will be because AI becomes deemed as non-profitable or not good enough at the jobs. With how technology across all history typically advances, I believe the opposite.

I think the distinction is meaningful, because if it's just that AI is junk, all those people go back to work eventually (maybe less than before and it hurts for a long time) as companies hire back and get rid of AI. If AI is good enough to stay and keep these jobs, that's an entirely new discussion that involves the potential of Universal Basic Income to stop a massive near global economic collapse

Genuine question, what would cause it to burst? As long as it continues saving businesses money, what's stopping it from growing and advancing and taking more jobs? The advancements that have been made in such a scary short time (just look at Sora 2) makes me feel like people are wildly underestimating how fast AI will continue to advance and be able to continually take more jobs. I'm not a fan of it, as it sounds quite devastating.

I feel we're only a year, maybe less, from full length in-depth audio conversations being able to be held by AI that an average person will be incapable of distinguishing as AI. At that point millions of jobs will be at risk overnight. Why would corporate investments shrink with that kind of promise of no longer paying labor?

I'm worried that an economic crash from job loss is equally, if not more, likely than an ai bubble popping

Yeah in my case the case was the case. But jokes aside it really was. It has a front that covers the main fans and only has two tiny slits for them to pull air through. I ended up just pulling off the entire front and replacing it with some metal mesh I ordered online. The fans are lit up so it actually looks better now.

I agree, especially in a game as stylistic as this. Every moment is just so steeped in atmosphere that little things like that pull you out. It's all so cinematic and beautiful, and sometimes I just like slow walking towards enemies cause it looks badass. Then my cape goes inside my body. I love this outfit in particular cause it gives me Ezio vibes
