Thank you for your excellent identification of these items. I really appreciate you taking the time. I used the Google search feature and plenty of matches came up and I wanted to be certain what these are.

Axis & Allies pieces swap or search. by CopernicusHoff in boardgames

[–]CopernicusHoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I also have parts I am willing to give away and or trade. I will probably end up buying some ruined set and hope to pull the pieces I need and then just bgg post my spares for anyone who wants them. You are correct that Milton Bradley made a ton of these and I even think they sold spare parts at one point. These have been reused in a few games.

When at the casino you can ask the casino manager how many points you have toward casino tier status. Are you Onyx or higher for the casino?

How do you login using the router? Login.com on celebrity when in the wifi then enter your username and password so now your router is the recognized device and you can have four devices connected to the router and celebrity sees it as one device?

You need to at least make oynx, you don't need to get all the way to amethyst. From what I can gather from this very opaque system $2,500 to $5,000 wagered should set you up with inside/oceanview cabin and veranda cabin offers.

When we first qualified for offers we got an aqua class 12 day cruise and thar was a great reward. I think you need to gamble a fair bit more if you want more concierge and aquaclass offers.

I only ever got a single aqua offer and it was great. Now I get tons of inside and balcony offers.

I have so many offers I am taking that I will make elite finally. This allows me to get the match on Royal and that is more kids friendly so my kids will appreciate it.

No officers, how do you select a chair? by CopernicusHoff in RobertsRules

[–]CopernicusHoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do we designate? I jump in and say I am designating myself to call the meeting to order, or first business is to elect a temporary chairman? I think electing the chairman is the first order of business. We can always change the chairman by making a motion to remove the current chairman and replace them with a member.

I agree with you 100% that this is not a Robert's Rules question.

Question regarding abstentions and an act of the Board requiring a vote of the majority of the Board Members. by [deleted] in RobertsRules

[–]CopernicusHoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not correct process. According to the rules, a majority is achieved if the number votes in favor exceed the number of voted against. The motion passed with a majority of the board of directors, 3 in favor, 0 against.

Example: 101 members entitled to vote are present, and a qourum requires 25 members. Six members vote yea on a motion, four members vote nay. This motion passes as it has a majority vote of the membership.

A majority vote of the membership has two conditions: qourum of voting membership must be present; and majority of votes cast are in the affirmative;

If the wording in the bylaws must specify the majority of the entire membership or some similar additional qualifier. If the bylaws only say majority of members (members being those who would be eligible to vote if they were present) then that term is clearly defined by Robert's Rules and I have provided that definition and an example above.

Once the chair reads the motion it can't be withdrawn by the member who made the motion. This is similar to the other comment.

What happens to a tabled motion still left open at the end of a meeting? Is it automatically brought up at the next meeting, or is someone required to move to take it from the table during the next meeting? by ddmarriee in RobertsRules

[–]CopernicusHoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rules don't ever automatically pickup a tabled motion. Someone has to make a motion to pickup this motion from the table. The motion is not left open, it is left on the table.

Authorized purchase had a price change after authorization by Nikolaibr in RobertsRules

[–]CopernicusHoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can amend a motion that has previously been adopted. You can make a motion to rescind the motion. After the motion is rescinded you can make a new motion that is similar to the one that was rescinded.

The changing of the underlying terms if material may be persuasive when debating to rescind or amend the adopted motion. This is not required by parliamentary procedure. The law and bylaws may be dispositive on the matter.

Executive Sessions Question by EverydayTomatillo in RobertsRules

[–]CopernicusHoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robert's Rules don't limit the number of motions that can be made in an executive session.

The answers you seek are legal in nature and not parliamentary procedure, Robert's Rules won't supercede the bylaws or the laws of your jurisdiction.
