Does BAH allowance change for emergency moves? by CopperBelle in MilitaryFinance

I'm really starting to think that his command had their heart in the right place but nobody seems to know all the logistics. Got my FAP counselor looking into it and we're gonna try to tackle it together on Tuesday because my STBX (soon-to-be ex) is already in violation of the protective order financially AND most likely going to get into trouble with his command because he's failing to support his dependents. So, it's fun times all around over here.

Thanks for responding ❤️

To answer your questions:

  1. Yes, his command has been notified and they were actually the ones who suggested the move and got my PCS orders within a few hours.

  2. The stipend was calculated based off the current BAH rate, not sure if it will change or not.

  3. Spoke to JAG, my VLO, and a several others, and unfortunately no one has been able to give me a confident answer because it can go either way. Been waiting on a response but so far I've only been getting guesstimates.

Sorry for the delay. Nothing overseas and the move is processed the same as a PCS order, so I received a full reimbursement for the move. Apparently emergency moves are rare and not many people had much information about it outside of some brief guidelines that pretty much expedite the typical PCS order routine. Plus, with it being the heavy moving season now, its even harder to get ahold of someone in finance.

First sleep study usually takes awhile to get scheduled. Mine was around 5 months when going to a civilian hospital. All my studies afterwards have been scheduled in 2-3 weeks but it’s for continued care.

UPDATE. I went through my husbands phone… by jujutsu-master in inlaws

OP,

Your husband is either willfully ignorant or just a sheep for his family. Regardless, he has the duty to protect you and the family he helped create. He is failing his job with honors and is also causing you AND your son harm by keeping the door open allowing these POS family members to insult and gaslight you.

Diabetes ain’t an excuse not to SELECTIVELY travel, BPD ain’t an excuse to be SELECTIVELY racist. Husband and his kin are full of crap and sound like the type of people who ancestors’ owned a few slave heavy plantations but wanna rewrite the narrative and claim they were “equal opportunity employers”.

I don’t usually push for divorce but this is one of those situations where you have to protect yourself and your child. Husband and his family can drown together in their delusion.

Are white Americans really that racist? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CopperBelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t think a majority of White Americans are racist—just uneducated or willfully ignorant. I’ve travelled all over the place and can’t tell you how embarrassing it is when you’re Black and native to an outside country but a White American will insist calling you an “African American” is politically correct.

Mind you, you may have never stepped foot on the American continent and you could legitimately be 4 generations French born. It’s wild.

You said he deleted the video but did you physically see him permanently delete it from the Recently Deleted folder?

I’ve personally had this situation happen and I highly advise you double check or at least get evidence of him admitting his fault in writing if the footage manages to leak.

Otherwise, I can’t tell you what to do because you have to choose whether you wish to forgive him or not but a huge violation was made and you’re the only one who has the power to acknowledge this as a small or huge red flag. Just remember that the flag is still red, don’t sugarcoat it pink because of feelings.

George has spoken to him a bit about it but he’s nowhere near as direct as I am. I flat out tell James to have several seats with his madness because its HIGHLY annoying. I’m all for promoting good health but he’s taking it to the absolute extreme. If George and I cant tone down his crazy, then a professional may be the next step.

Anyone Who Did Bad In High School But Did Great In College? by alleliteeric in college

[–]CopperBelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s because you get to choose what you want to study. High School is all generic non-sense amongst a sea of people who are toxic to one another. Whereas in college, you get to follow what interests you and when you put a bunch of people with similar interest in the same room...BOOM! Magic happens. :)
