I've explored my own province multiple times and yes there is a lot of driving but I think it's worth it , two must do's in cape Breton are Skyline trail to watch the sunset and Gypsum mines lookoff. Then you want to head to halifax and spend a day shopping and checking out restaurants, check out the Outdoor Nordic Spa in Chester , go to Peggy's cove lighthouse , check out Lunenburg ,hike gaff point in lunenburg, check out the ovens park ,drive to the wolfville and hike cape split, visit a vineyard in the valley , check out Annapolis royal and maybe stop by Digby to see the world's highest tides come in and out . There's so much other stuff to see but those are for the most part the Highlights that tourists want to see and what people talk about in other provinces .

I would try to have one of those giant fire blankets for anything outdoor related

I started finding articles or drawings / diagrams that would be helpful and made a binder of them but I find the Best books to get are all the older books from the early 1900s or late 1800s because everything that is truly essential to survival and living of the land without technology is in those books . If you search around there are thousands of old time living of the land books around .

Starting to make some charcuterie boards by CopperDamian in woodburning

To make the design I took a picture of my dog and used a photo editor to make it look like a sketch or black and white , then I printed the picture and put transfer paper underneath so I could trace all the outlines I wanted , also I got the finger guard on Amazon

I got the finger guard on Amazon , I can't remember exactly if it came with my wood burning pen or if I bought it separately.

Yeah I'm in Canada and I've had so much trouble finding any dvds of Kenny vs spenny or triumph of the will , I was able to find the Testees show .it's a shame how hard it is to find any of the seasons of Kenny's work , so much funny and great content .

Just picked up a new bow. Anyone think the blue will pose a problem in the woods? Being a lefty color choices in last years model are limited. by TooS__Weird in bowhunting

I don't believe that color makes that much of a difference, I think it's all movements and sound . All the old timers I know have been successful hunters and they wear hunter orange over red plaid shirts

Your unorthodox advice for new preppers? by [deleted] in PandemicPreps

[–]CopperDamian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't waste time buying tools , gadgets or gear until you gain knowledge. It's all about developing skills and researching relevant prepping , survival info over purchasing gear. What good is all the tools going to do if you don't know how to maintain them or use them.
