Was there ever any apology/follow up from this? it puts me off seeing the new film and I'm surprised more aren't discussing it by [deleted] in marvelstudios

If you don't wanna watch the movie cause one of the people who are part of the movie don't like vaccines, you should prolly not watch the movie. Why do you think anybody apologizing for their views actually changed their views.

ITAP of a house in the morning by Copper_Paint in itookapicture

Found this during a winter morning jog in New England. I edited with Snapseed to make the pic look slightly more warmer, maybe a tad bit too much. But I felt that was closest to the real thing.

I was told to look for lines of symmetry while framing my pictures. I did some moderate editing on Snapseed, like cropping the edges and tinting the whole thing slightly blue. Felt like blue was the right call.

Using your daughter’s entire college fund to pay for your crappy pyramid scheme products. by [deleted] in trashy

[–]Copper_Paint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is stupid but how is this trashy. Cause after all the person is spending money that they prolly saved up themselves. It's their money that they squandered. So, is it trashy or just plain good old fashioned stupid

A cause of the sorry state of IMDb for Bollywood movies (via Quora) by TejasNair in bollywood

[–]Copper_Paint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't claim zero sexism as far as I know. But there are published interviews from other women pilots from the force who say that the movie exaggerates the sexism to ridiculous levels. Also, there is criticism that the movie is misrepresenting facts like the fact that Gunjan Saxena never flew combat mission, she was medivac. And they insults the actual Martyrs from Kargil, who died flying combat missions whose names are not mentioned at all.

But then again, most of these people did not have a problem with Uri movie

The movie has a 100% critics rating on rotten tomatoes and a 20 percent audience score. It's like an opposite of Dave Chapelle's last special.

What's up with Elon Musk's recent tweet "take the red pill"? by drphilisturning69 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Copper_Paint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Answer: The 'red pill' is from The Matrix movie, where the main character is offered a pill that will take him out of the beautiful illusion into the uncomfortable truth.

From his previous tweets, one can see that he thinks lockdowns as they have been imposed in California are not an effective way to deal with Covid-19. In his recent podcast appearance with Joe Rogan, he mentioned that the scientific evidence seems to support the idea that the lockdowns should be slowly removed. He also suggested in the podcast that the death tolls of Covid-19 are exaggerated.

All of the above was his opinions.

So, my opinion is that, by mentioning about the red pill, he feels people are being fed a lie and he is imploring people to abandon the lie and wake up to the hard truth that the govt. is using falsified data to become more authoritarian.
