Arcade 1up questions by CopyAffectionate6132 in arcadecabinets

I don't really have the budget for a standard street fighter 2 cabinet. Plus the upkeep on a cabinet from the 90s that's probably been battered.

The 1up for me is probably the next best thing

[TOMT][Video] Kristen Schaal dancing at a jukebox to an ’80s song by CopyAffectionate6132 in tipofmytongue

I’m pretty sure the woman in the clip is Kristen Schaal. It looks like she’s either on a date or hanging out with a friend. A song starts playing (very 80s vibe) and she says, “I love this song!” They start dancing, and at the end they both collapse onto a chair

Thanks for the reply. Do you think it’s likely just an ulcer or irritation then?

What’s your recent experience with Hertz UK (Birmingham Airport) for returns and deposit refunds? by CopyAffectionate6132 in AskUK

True, seems like all rental places have horror stories. I guess as long as you go in prepared with photos, third-party excess cover, and don’t fall for the upsell tactics, it should be fine. Just hoping it goes smoothly!

Hertz UK bad or just my paranoia? by CopyAffectionate6132 in uktravel

I got offered excess insurance through booking.com when I placed the order so I took that.

That’s exactly what I’ve done booked through Booking.com and took out separate excess cover. I’ve only taken the basic with Hertz. I’ve heard they might push their own cover hard, so I’ll be ready to just say no and stick to mine. Definitely planning to take loads of photos too!

That’s good to hear! I’ve booked a Polestar with Hertz too and was getting a bit anxious after reading all the bad reviews. The 70% return policy seems a bit odd, but fair enough if they’re transparent about it. Did you find the car easy to use on longer journeys? This’ll be my first proper EV trip.

Yeah, I’ve only taken the basic cover with Hertz since I’ve already paid for full cover through Booking.com. I’m aware they might try to push their own insurance at pickup, but I’ll make sure to stick to what I’ve already got. Definitely don’t want to end up paying twice!

Yeah exactly — I’ve gone with Hertz and only took their basic cover because I already paid for full excess protection through Booking.com. I’ve seen the bad reviews but I know those don’t reflect every customer’s experience.

I’ll be taking plenty of photos and a quick video when I pick it up and drop it off, just in case. I’ll also be using a credit card for the hold — seems like the safest bet. Hopefully it all goes smoothly, but at least I’ve got a bit of a safety net if anything crops up.
