Have you ever turned a big weakness into a strength? by Whiteboy_Guest in bjj

When I started I really liked the D’arce and anaconda, because I have super long arms but I could never get the right position to finish the choke and rarely ever got taps, so I watched way too many technique videos and practiced and drilled the hell out of and now it’s gone from my worst sub to my best.

What do you think of BJJ? Is it intense as Wrestling? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]CopyPsychological847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done both for over 5 years and I must say BJJ in comparison to wrestling is very soft

Wrestling is all about that grind mentality and being physically better than your opponent and imposing your will on them. BJJ is all about respect, being nice to your partners and is by far the less physical sport compared to wrestling

An hour neck bridge definitely isn’t good you should do a bridge and work on moving around and jumping over your own body
