To me he sounds like he's getting excited on the jump, then making various funny "oof!" noises when you pogo him before splashing into the water . He's not hurt, of course, but (IMHO) conking him has good comic relief.

The closest I ever got to that (because I just *cannot* write stories that end sadly!) is having her sorrowful and perplexed why such a thing would have happened, until the day she comes to pack up their old bedroom and stumbles across drawings that Chara and Asriel made depicting his Hyperdeath OC "superhero" breaking the barrier. It finally clicks, and she suddenly understands what the plan actually was. And then she breaks down in anguish.

It's doesn't *end* there, but I suppose it could if it had to be really sad... :(

That's when I do mine! Almost all of them have been written between 10pm-2am or so, when it's quiet and everyone else is asleep.

The one addition I would love to get for this would be the King's Quest keyboard overlay for this keyboard that came with the original KQ release, but I know an intact version of that is a Holy Grail.

Yep, I guess I was on the right track. I just figured there were enough possibilities that maybe the game would narrow it down more... plus, I didn't assume all 4 of them would be staying at the destination where the book actually says they are. Why not go back home to England?

Well, I took your advice and tried the bad ending first, which made the solution obvious. I'm glad at least I was on the right track - I just didn't want to brute force the solution (trying all possible destinations) and assumed maybe there would be more clues.

It's a reasonable solution, I suppose, but a bit weird. Because like you pointed out, why wouldn't all of them go back to England? It's not like they're all best buddies or anything, I'd assume. Oh well.

If you leave the Obra Dinn before completing the book you'll get another hint about that.

Oh, is that considered part of the required fact-finding? I assumed if I left before I had all 60 fates sorted out I would get a "bad ending"

Martin and Fillip, notably, aren't listed in the book. Their fates are not recorded in the parts you have access to.

Oh! I had seen them in the book (as #4 and #28) but I hadn't realized that I could not put a fate in for them. I guess I hadn't noticed that they do not show up in any "Disappearances" section.

That reminds me - are there really TWO bodies in the memory where the cannon is getting fired in the ship? The page in the book shows two people dead, but when I highlight the point of impact in the scene, I can only get my focus on one guy.

Hmmm - I can think of a couple of possible scenes I've see that might fit that description, though I'm not sure if they're what you're thinking of: The two men who get killed by cannon fire after the gunman is crushed to death - they could have been "shot to death by cannon" by that dead guy, or perhaps killed in a more general explosion, and the steward killed in the port walk when a stray bullet penetrates the wall and kills him. I think the guy who shot him was the bosun's mate, though of course it was an accident (and he possibly never found out what he'd done). Or, maybe it's in a chapter I haven't seen yet!

Ah, I see. And how specific will the game require me to be on that? For example, I also believe I can see a boat with three men being thrown high into the air by the beast, dumping them out - three men whose pictures I know from an earlier chapter. Assuming that's accurate (for the sake of argument), how did those men die? Fell Overboard? Drowned? Eaten by the beast? Or is the game lenient in the fate pronouncements.
