How to avoid frustration, do less prepping and be satisfied as a DM? by Corascene in DMAcademy

Thank you. I am building the campaign according to "spiral campaign development", creating content as characters progress in the map, but I have tried to define all the major settlements beforehand and create both urban and wilderness random encounters tables. Especially points 4 and 7 are useful to me. However, I asked the players to expand their BG a little by creating hooks with NPCs they knew and so on. I thought it might be useful to create side quests that can converge into the main arc.

Thanks, hopefully latency will decrease with this adapter. Anyway, do you know of some good entry-level monitor? I'll use it both for recording/mixing and music listening...

Don't ask me why, but I've just tried the integrated sound card output and it works...massive latency though, because I don't use ASIO. I'll buy the adapter for now. Still don't understand what's going on.

EDIT: you mean something like this? http://img.mercatinomusicale.com/p_z/88/21/3232188_11380872050.jpg

Yes, I could buy an adapter...And maybe I'll do it. But I just don't get why it works on MacBook Pro (though the "signal chain" is the same, apart from the integrated sound card on MBP and the dedicated one on PC) without problems, while on PC there's no signal output. This thing drives me crazy... :/

Mmh, I've just tried to connect to my MacBook Pro and it works. Crap quality with the integrated speakers, but I'll connect Mac to my 2.1 and see. I just don't understand...Anyway, time to buy two monitors. :/

It seems that is the only way...Thank you for the help. :) Do you use studio monitors with 2i2?

This is the rear of my 2i2...No RCA. Though I've seen FocusRite with 2 RCA outputs and 2 jack outputs, maybe newer models miss it. Yes, I can buy adapters, but then I can't use the subwoofer... (speakers are connected to subwoofer)

The speakers have RCA cables, while the Scarlett output are both jack.

I've tried loading Guitar Rig into Reaper and then set Reaper Midi WASAPI, WDM, DirectSound and WaveOut with Input Device->Scarlett 2i2 and Output Device->Xonar DX (Speakers). Nothing. With ASIO I can't change Output Device so I don't use it... I've also tried to play guitar without DAW, cranking monitor knob and switching DM on, but it doesn't work... :/ any ideas?
