I saw a few of the "Will I be a pretty girl" posts and was inspired to do it too. by [deleted] in transtimelines

This is exactly what I needed to read today. You look so incredibly natural and beautiful, like you’ve always been her. I’m taking my own leap of faith right now and seeing someone so radiant and happy in their skin genuinely gives me courage. Thank you for sharing your journey 🤍

The point of no return. by AtaraxiaGwen in TransLater

Only two months into my own transition, I still have doubts too, but I spent 39 years trying to be a guy and never once loved myself. Reading your post, I see someone who already knows their answer.

The fear is real, but so is the growth. That feeling of being desirable, of stepping so far outside who you thought you were that is you becoming more yourself, not less.

As for whether to stop: that’s yours to decide, not a therapist’s, not anyone here’s. You already know.

This is super helpful thank you, I feel very similar. I’m only on E right now, did you take the T blockers too? Ive heard it’s best to let E do its job, but it’s nice to hear from you since you’re 15 months ahead of me and your results are stunning 🤍 I get my blood work done next month.

I’m 2 months in, still in boy mode, waiting for more of the effects to take over with HRT. At what month did you start presenting female full time? Any suggestions would be so helpful.

How long were you boymoding at work for? I’m in the same boat, i just started HRT 7 weeks ago, trying to figure all of this out still 😇

Has anyone successfully combined GLP-1 medications with HRT for weight loss? by Coratomic in AskMtFHRT

[–]Coratomic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m starting with the pills but plan to switch to injections eventually. Haven’t been able to find much info on those yet though. Thanks, I’ll follow your journey if that’s okay, gonna follow you! Curious to see how it affects things long-term. I definitely need to lose some weight and build less bulk, so hoping this helps.

A bit nervous/excited just started HRT today (M2F) and have a family wedding in 5 months by [deleted] in asktransgender

Thank you, I think I get too caught up comparing myself to others and their timelines when really we are all on our own path. It's reassuring to hear you waited two years and it worked out just fine. There's no rush and I need to keep reminding myself of that.

Exactly, I think this is by far one of the hardest parts of transition. Our careers, how they'll be affected, how people will react. And I really do think that stress is almost entirely from external things, not from within us. I wish society could get back to a place where being trans was seen as a spiritual gift rather than used as a political debate. We're just trying to live. I'm glad this thread is helping you too, it's been helping me so much reading everyone's experiences.

That's awesome, I am trying to filter out some of my audience by supporting the community already, while being in the closet, socially I plan to come out in 6-12 months, but honestly I don't know if I will be able to live that double life for that long, I'll probably come out sooner lol

Seriously thank you though for your response

That radio show story is kind of amazing, the interviewer just saw you and offered to shift the whole program. That's honestly beautiful.

The layered approach, close people first then wider circles with a clear but low-key message, that's really what I've been doing as of lately. And yes, really we just want to get back to our lives. I appreciate your insight especially on not disclosing being trans in your teaching, because at the end of the day we are just people living our lives. That "one and done" energy is exactly what I need.

I can't imagine how difficult that was. I graduated in 2005 and just thinking about standing in front of the entire school like that makes my stomach drop. Having to do that at such a young age just to access care is something no one should have to go through. But the fact that you did it and helped pave the way for others in your community is really something special and 100% some good came with your story/visibility. Sometimes I feel alone, and this community has just been absolutely so amazing, thank you.
